I put a lot of thought into this one - especially the border, as I wanted to include all of the DNC motiffs (rose, leaf, bird and crown) and some that were relevant to the character's backstory (the coeurl). They all got in there, somehow!
You could say that 90% of this piece was overthinking. The rest was screaming at Photoshop for not blending colors properly. Hope you like it!

The outfit on the right is my own design. Meanwhile, the detailing on the Drachen Mail nearly took out my hand. Trust a DRG to have insanely intricate armor, for all the good it does when they stand in aoe. I’m sure the floor loves it.

What a game, what an expac, what a villain... oof, my poor heart.
I wanted to capture the flipside of Emet's cocky "who cares" disposition in this piece - the side of him you only see towards the end of the game. His vulnerability totally caught me by surprise and I was still thinking about it days after I finished the game.
