In a twist I did not expect at all, this month's poll got a little heated between two options - Aymeric and M'naago - with the final result declaring everyone's favourite cat as the winner of this month's series. Whoop!
So that starts a new series - the "Wind Rose" - which will have a slightly different feel to the Jewel series. Please look forward to it!

Here's the finished January piece! And with two days to spare too...! @_@
This has probably been the most fun out of the three portraits in the jewel series. I wanted to give it a closer feel to the original FFXIV concept art, so I went with some sketchier strokes than I did in the previous two.
What do you think? Please let me know- artists need critique to grow! (Rhyming not intentional)

She's finally done! I really enjoyed working out the colors for this piece. I wanted her to be recognisable, so I kept a similar hue to that of her original outfit for the top of this dress. For the headpiece, I kept the same design but then thought it would be a nice touch if it looked somewhat pearlescent. Probably needs a little more work though.
I do apologise it took so long - between Christmas rush orders and wrapping up my life for the holidays, I didn't even really it's nearly 2018 unt...

When I was much younger I had this fascination for drawing characters outside of their setting, with different clothes and their hair down.
