The Forbidden Forest pg 1

A cool commission I'm working on. It will be of approximately 8 pages.

This comic is about a couple who has made an important decision. Both head towards the forbidden forest, where mysterious creatures live, who were banished by their ancestors. These forms of life are considered by many to be dangerous, as they can provide mind-blinding pleasure, hypnotizing pleasure, one that both are more than willing to accept.

How Ember became the "Master" pt 1.

There will be three parts about this character's past along with small lore sections, which explain how she became the villain of the story. Some of this drawings will be used in the final cómic.

Ember Medaw was a skilled warrior, daughter of King Xarcus Medaw. Princess of a primitive civilization located on the planet Kaumir. The Medaw were a tribe in tune with nature, who distanced themselves from the Galactic Republic of Aveat centuries ago, as they considered that the technological revolution that brought with it a catastrophic war had corrupted the essence of their ancestors. So they decided to start from scratch to avoid making the same mistakes. Being aware that the excessive greed of previous generations was what led to their ruin, they decided to flee, where they could have a simple life, as far as possible from their origin. They found a welcoming planet at the edge of their solar system, in a remote section of space known as “the void.” The first Medaw were made up of a group of wise political idealists, who during their first decades in Kaumir dedicated themselves to building a utopian society. By unanimous decision a council appointed King Oron, whose goodness and intellect were unequaled. For a long period the Medaws looked after only the common good, with an ideology based on the preservation of peace and the enjoyment of simple pleasures, where private property did not exist and the population rotated jobs among themselves cyclically, from agriculture, to construction and livestock. They had no ambitions to conquer or expand their territory, they distributed all their resources equitably and the main form of entertainment was art and philosophy. They were a culture that obtained great scientific knowledge, however their people did not make use of them, as they limited ancient technology and discoveries to indispensable uses such as medicine or sewage systems. If it was necessary to occupy other uninhabited land to survive, they did so briefly and vacated the site when it was no longer necessary. The planet's fauna was hostile, with gigantic and wild reptiles, so they inevitably had to designate groups of warriors to fight for the safety of its inhabitants. There were two hundred years of absolute tranquility. However, after those couple of centuries a small group of miners found in the depths of the planet a creature that had never seen the light before, an evil being, an interdimentiontal threat self-named Mordium.

¡Almost done!, just need to add some color to it. I took some time to experiment with lineart these days and I really liked this style.

An Unlucky Encounter (new alts)

I'm a bit of an obsessive, so I made more alts from previous illustrations, one with alien slugs possessing Arya with some dialogue, and the other with her space suit. I improved the lineart and added a background to give it more context.

Soy un poco obsesivo, así que hice más alts de ilustraciones anteriores, una con babosas alienígenas poseyendo a Arya con algo de diálogo, y la otra con su traje espacial. Mejoré el lineart y le agregué un fondo para darle mas contexto.

Arya and the prince in a passionate night

The prince Alexey hired Arya to capture a dangerous criminal. In the end, her treasure hunt ended up being a double prize for her, as the prince thanked her in less orthodox ways.

El príncipe de los Kobolds contrató a Arya para capturar a un criminal peligroso. Al final, su caza del tesoro terminó siendo un premio doble para ella, pues el príncipe le agradeció de maneras menos ortodoxas.

Next ilustration preview

I just finished the lineart for the following illustration, something a bit more conventional for a change. Then I'll get to work on the comic.

How the comic started

These are some of the early sketches I did for the Arya´s comic. The initial concept was simple, a vixen bountry hunter travels to a desolate planet and finds alien parasites that want to possess her body. The thing is that as I wrote the story I realized that I had to change the artistic style, because it was too cartoonish. I have thought of scenes that will make more than one person raise an eyebrow. So that style was too out of place for such a dark idea. Therefore I am starting it from scratch, but now with a much more detailed style.
I know it will please those who have this niche taste.
I haven´t seen many comics with this type of theme, because I feel that it is something generally unknown and transgressive, so I said to myself: ¿why the hell not?

Estos son algunos de los primeros bocetos que hice para el cómic de Arya. El concepto inicial era simple, una zorra cazarrecompensas viaja a un planeta desolado y en el se encuentra parásitos alienígenas que quieren poseer su cuerpo. La cosa es que a medida que escribía la historia me dí cuenta que tenía que cambiar el estilo artístico, pues era demasiado caricaturesco. Tengo pensadas escenas que le harán levantar una ceja a mas de una persona. Así que ese estilo desentonaba demasiado para una idea tan oscura. Por lo tanto lo estoy empezando desde cero, pero ahora con un estilo mucho más detallado.

Se que le agradará a quienes tienen este gusto de nicho.

No he visto muchos cómics con este tipo de temática, pues siento que es algo en general desconocido y trasgresor, así que me dije: ¿Por que demonios no?
