It's been a while since I've done one of these again. Partially because it's hard to do art breakdowns for the paper doll style art. Thankfully, I'm taking actions this month that should hopefully start giving us some more art I CAN show off to all of you!
This time around, we have a piece for The Allure of Wanton Cove, where the main character just steps off the ferry upon their arrival in Wanton Cove.
This first image is our concept sketch. I thought the overall feel...

We are nearing another crossroads in the development of Wanton Cove. In the last few builds, we have learned more about Azumi, and we have discovered the ruins on the island and started to explore them, . . . but we have many more things I'd like to explore.
Over the next week or so, I plan to start planning the next phase of this, and I figured I'd let all of you decide what mysteries we will begin to explore next.
The top two will become my next priorities.

It was a busy day today. Since it had been a few weeks since the last time I worked on Wanton Cove, I made a point of reviewing some of the content related to the Azumi storyline. After doing so I sat down and wrote the next piece of that particular story arc. Wasn't as big of a scene as I had expected it to be, but I was happy with how it turned out.
Actually had a lot going on with Inheritance today. Bug fix was released related to the TEST build, plus a few other sm...

Alright, just like the last fix build, you should be able to simply drop the new html into the old folder instead of downloading the full bundle again. As such, I only attached the html to this post.
There were a couple of spelling issues I took care of, but the big issue is that I had failed to set up the gate location correctly, which was preventing people from reaching that location. That should be working correctly now, which in turn will open up the first four scenes of a smal...

Left.
Right.
Left.
Right.
Straight.
The punching bag shook with every blow, violently twitching in response. The massive woman held her hands back for a moment, growling in frustration as she adjusted her footing.
The blows weren’t striking where she wanted; often her fists overshot the bag or missed all together. She let loose another flu...

Got a fix for the latest test build, plus a bit of extra content.
-Fixed a bug related to the lunch meal.
-Fixed a bug related to sleep
-Fixed a few smaller issues that were reported, largely spelling stuff.
-Added a new scene to this build. Was originally going to sit on it until next build, but decided since it was easy to add I'd go ahead and do so.
I only attached the html file below. In order to make use of it, all you need to do is re...

Going to start with bug reports for Inheritance. Had a bug with all the new meal time code which was breaking meals. I'll be testing it tomorrow when I have some time, but I think it's going to be fine. Also had some more cosmetic fixes that I took care of today. If all goes as planned, I'll have a fix build up for testers some time tomorrow afternoon.
Last night I wrote another diary entry for Inheritance. Got that added to the game last night.
Looks like W...

Been a lot of work going into this since our last build. LOTS of new content to explore. We've got new interactive scenes, the start of our first small story arc, new locations, new functions, and a host of other stuff.
I've opened up the new build and poked around just a little bit. I didn't see anything immediately that was broken, but that doesn't mean something isn't broken somewhere. If you see something that doesn't seem to be working correctly, then PLEASE...

I was debating on how best to handle this particular post. I wanted to express the amount of work accomplished related to the next build, but after thinking about it for a while, I realized that perhaps sharing the next build's changelog will be the easiest way to accomplish this.
As such, I'll start with what I did today, then share the changelog below.
Today was spent working on the town's content. I finished adding all of the descriptions for the road locations...

Those of you who have been with us for a while know what to do already, but I'll take a moment to explain things for the rest of you.
What we do each week is we take a vote on what I will be focusing the bulk of my attention on the following week. At the end of each week, I take the top item and that becomes my new work item. All other votes are carried over to the next week to be added to the following week's poll.

Part 2: Wounds
She watched the blood drip to the grimy cement floor, the single light swinging gently overhead casting dark shadows. Titan could feel the pathetic bench sagging under her size, the occasional troubling creak echoing against the cheap metal lockers surrounding her, but she didn’t care. She felt the blood running down her face slowly, a single drop flowing off her ch...

You know how I sometimes say "That's the plan UNLESS SOMETHING UNEXPECTED HAPPENS" Today was one of those days. Part of it was some code I messed up, part of it involved a family emergency.

On the work front, I finished up the sponsored scene I was working on and got it added to the game, added the bare bones of the town in place so locations can start being added to it (Basically the road...

Got a lot going on today, so much so that I've actually had to start reprioritizing what I have planned for the rest of the week!
As of this morning, my plan was to finish up the minimum for the meal time scenes to accommodate if you are only sharing meals with one girl or the other (Yep, that's an option now), then to work on the content needed to get the first couple of locations in town into the game.
That got all shot to hell. (In the best possible ways.)
I woke up t...

Independence Day, the 4th of July. For those of us who live in the United States, this is often a time when we get together with family and friends, fire up the grill, and set off fireworks in the evening. It's a holiday we enjoy as a country, but often loose sight of exactly what it means.
This holiday originated when our founding fathers decided we were being treated unfairly and they declared their independence to the world.
The holiday has become much more than that h...

Yesterday I received a submission for the game that requires that at least part of the town is in place in order to add it. As such, I find myself in a position where I need to name the town if I'm going to code everything properly.
The town is going to be handled in much the same manner as the grounds around the mansion. I'll get the locations set up, some placeholder content, then leave it alone with the exception of any submission scenes until we get there (Current pr...

In the coming days I will be posting a short series of scenes with the intent to complete the series around the time the next build of Inheritance is released. These stories were generously written by the talented LFNPark.
Hope you all enjoy!
Part 1: Fight
It was an awful place. I think it used to be a gymnasium for a school, but it obviously hadn’t been used for a long time. The people were pressed together around the fenced area, barbed wire run in b...

Managed a little shy of six hours of work today. Going to call that a win since I was thinking half of that was an over optimistic goal.
So, what did we accomplish today?
-Added the first scene from a submitted story arc to the game.
-Added a new location "Gate" to the game.
-Added three small scenes to the gate location.
-Added two new images to the game's intro.
-Added images to the downstairs hallways, pantry, mansion front, an...

Haven't posted updates the last couple of days, but have NOT been idle. Got a lot of progress to share with you this evening.
Lets break things down by day.
Saturday:
-Wrote one Bedtime scene.
-Wrote three new ending scenes for the couch.
-Wrote two new eavesdropping scenes.
-Added exits to a lot of the existing scenes in the game, should make navigation a little easier. Trying to get exits everywhere, but it's going to be a bit at a t...

Since this idea has come up a couple of times in the past, and I had someone suggest it again just a little while ago, I thought it was worth bringing up and seeing what everyone thought.
I am thinking about setting up a high pledge level. Probably $100. What people would receive for this is that they would have the ability to request a scene be written for any of my current projects.
This pledge level would be limited to two members (At least at first. If it's ...

Since I didn't get around to posting an update yesterday, and there's a lot that's been going on, I figured I should catch you all up on what's been going on:
Yesterday, I spent a good bit of time working on The Therapist. Finished up the James storyline for that game (Will be sure to link the new build for all of you guys when it comes out) as well as some new gloryhole content related to the adult novelty store in the game. In total, managed to create about 5k words of conte...

The Allure of Wanton Cove is a dark tale of horror set within the Cthulhu Mythos created by the renowned author H.P. Lovecraft.

You take on the part of a washed up former detective who could never let go of the last terrible case he worked. Content to live the rest of his life at the bottom of a bottle, his former partner comes knocking, begging for his help. Help that he is loa...

Today was one of those days that completely blindsided me. In the big scheme of things, that's a good thing.
I got a call this morning to tell me that someone (Turned out to be my family. Parents and a couple of others who wanted to be helpful) had paid off all but about $10 of my house (I literally went in this afternoon with a twenty and finished paying the house off, and got change back, . . . ). Just like that. To be quite honest, I'm still kind of processing this. ...

Yesterday was one of those days I didn't accomplish much, and since I didn't think it was worth it to all of you to say "Yay, I wrote a couple of hundred words today!" I opted instead to cover everything today instead.
So as you all likely know already, I'm working on The Therapist this week. Yesterday was mostly me reading through old scenes and kind of figuring out the best way to tackle the content I still need to write. I ended up putting together a framework for that content a...

I wanted to try something a little different today. I do daily reports pretty regularly, but with the exception of posting changelogs at release I rarely give bigger summaries. Daily Report:
Been working on Inheritance off and on today. Wrote, coded, and added one new scene for An...

I heard from two of our artists today. One of them has some WIP art, the other mentioned that they just finished up the next paper doll bundle of art.
Also wrote a bit shy of 3k words of content spanning two interactive scenes for Eve.
How things stand right now, it looks like I should have a lot of time on my hands tomorrow. Going to be making an ef...

Got a little unpleasantness to get out of the way.
It has recently come to my attention that one or more people has been sharing the Patreon builds of my projects on various sites online. I've seen the latest build of Inheritance pop up in several places now.
I have always tried to share free versions of my work with the community. In the case of Wanton Cove, the free version only lacks the Cheat Menu. In the case of Inheritance it is through early access with the old v...

It's been an interesting day, and though I didn't get a lot of writing done personally, I DO have some exciting news to share.
I wrote, coded, and added a smallish scene involving Eve to the game (Around 1k words in total). It can play out four different ways depending on your choices.
Wrote a little more over on chyoa.com Got another page up in that story which was a lot of fun to write.
Now the exciting bit: One of our coders sent a bit of code my way...
