Inheritance A5TEST

Ok, got a new test build for you guys.  Keep in mind that for the time being, you're going to need to summon a girl to a location in order to get the scenes related to them to trigger.

-New Interactive Scene in the North Hall with Anna that can play out MANY different ways depending on relationship status and choices.

-New Interactive scene for Eve that can play out in hallway locations.  Requires Eve to be working in the house, be work hours, and 500 or more Fear from her.

Rethinking the next couple of weeks.

Those of you who have been with us for a while should know by now that I tend to just tell it how it is rather than try to sweet talk my way through things.  In this case, I suspect that the vast majority of you won't mind at all, but since its something I've mentioned I wanted to accomplish, and it looks like I'll be falling little short of my goal, I figure I owe it to everyone to explain myself.

General Update and News

As I've probably made clear over the last few days, I've been pretty sick, and because of that, I accomplished close to nothing over the weekend.

The up side of things is that I'm feeling a little better today.  My fever has gone down significantly, my cough is more manageable, and my head is starting to clear up to a point where I don't feel like I'm living in a perpetual fog.  Better days ahead!

The down side is that my kids now have it, so while I should be writing right now...

What comes after Wanton Cove?

While we've got a few months before the final touches will be put on Wanton Cove, its never too early to start planning my next project.

What I'd like to do here is pitch a few game ideas past all of you and let you all vote for what you'd like to see me start working on next.

Aftermath:  Post apocalyptic setting in the same kind of theme as the Fallout games.   The game would include lots of sex and gender swap.

Yesterday, I spent some time writing for Inheritance.  Got some smallish scenes written for Eve.  After getting the quick fix for the game up last night, I started adding the new scenes to Inheritance in preparation for the next build of the game.  In total, there's two fairly substantial sized interact...

Quick Fix

Had a bug reported where conversations were not working correctly.  Found a couple of little typos in the code that were fairly easy to fix (One just took a few minutes to find) and I have updated the previous posts to include a fix version of the game.

My letter to Patreon

Not sure if any of you are interested in seeing this or not, but I thought I'd share it anyway.  The link I gave earlier to the Patreon article includes a link to a survey to tell Patreon what you think of the new changes they tried to make and why you did not like them.  I went ahead and filled it out, as well as wrote a letter to them.  I felt that I was speaking on all of our behalf on this:

Best news I've heard all week!

Patreon just released a letter that says they are reversing the changes they made to billing!  Their statement echoes my own feelings on the issue, that if costs need to be increased, that cost should be on creators, then the creators in turn can decide if they will take that hit or pass some, or all, of those new costs on to their supporters.  As I have mentioned before, I see the fees as a simple cost of doing business and have no problem with paying them out of my earnings, it was n...

Response to exit servey:

I've seen a lot of exit serveys, especially this last week.  Exit surveys is something that I can see, but I get no notices, and it never tells me who left a comment. 

Typically, I receive a response that someone selected from a drop down menu, on rare occasion I receive a few words as well ("New Fees" has been a popular comment this last week, seen quite a few of those.) but I have to say that this is the first time I've ever received something so detailed.

The Allure of Wanton Cove: Progress Report

Spent about four hours working on Wanton Cove earlier today.  Got the second stretch of the game's ending written today and laid out the ground work for the next portion.  That puts us at about 4k words of content for the next release.  Also coded everything written so far into the game.

Coming into this one, I shared the current art from the game with the artist, asking them to keep her completely dressed but also that she's an incredibly sexual character who is packing a little something extra.  I wanted to emphasize that with the bit of bulge in her skirt.

Inheritance TEST A4b

Alright, been a stressful morning, though it has little to do with Inheritance.  

Our coder Greyelf was able to find my mistakes and fix them.  I just finished testing to make doubly sure that its all working correctly and I was unable to find any problems.  Granted, it was a quick test, shower, conversation, sex, and making sure I could get to the main hub of the mansion.

Commputer problems.

My computer has been acting a little funny for a few days now, but nothing too bad until this morning.

This morning, well, I'm starting to get a bit frustrated.

So basically, I have no idea what is wrong at this point in time, but the end result is that my antivirus is down and refuses to restart, and my computer refuses to let me access my game files (Inheritance specifically).

Inheritance TEST A4a

Alright, had a small number of bugs reported related to the master bedroom.  One oral scene was buggy, plus there was an error throwing in the room as well as the sidebar.  All of it was related and the result of a could of small mistakes in my coding.  

One of the wonderful people who help with the coding was able to both locate and fix the issues before I even had a chance to go looking for them.  Words can not express how awesome those guys are.
