Inheritance TEST

Ok, been working on this off and on since yesterday evening.  I THINK I've resolved the issues reported.  It took me longer to finish all of this up than I had expected, and there is a couple of small adjustments that still need to be made, but the fixes are in and the new content seems to be functional.

So, last night I rolled out the latest test build for Inheritance.  One of the wonderful people who took the time to play it caught several bugs (Some small, some significant).  Needless to say, I spent part of last night, and some of this morning working on fixes.

Bug Report

Seems that there is a bug on Night 8 that is hanging up a lot of people who are trying to progress to the evening scene.  I know what it is, and its a it shouldn't be too difficult of a fix.  Will work on it when I get up for the day and should have a fix up some time tomorrow morning, early afternoon at the latest.

Becoming a habit today, . . .

You know how this morning, I found out that I'd screwed up a bit of code in the events and it took me about an hour to run down the mistakes and get them fixed?

In spite of a rather slow start yesterday, I ended up finishing the day pretty strong.  

-Added five groupings of minor scenes, making up a total of about 40 scenes.  (Yeah, these are the same ones I mentioned yesterday, but how the heck am I supposed to make this list look impressive without embellishing just a little bit.  ;) )

Something I have been thinking about a bit:  When you reach the end of the the game's intro and Anna arrives in your room, there are currently several ways that the scene can play out depending on how you choose to proceed.  Those options range from very tender, to a bit selfish.  

I've been wondering if I should also write a darker version of the scene where the protagonist is a little rough with Anna.

Feeling tremendously uninspired today.  As such, I figured my best use of time would be to do mind numbing work.  I ended up spending a couple of hours working on converting prewritten content for use in the game.

General Progress Report

I'll start withe Inheritance for this one:

As many of you have probably noticed, there's been some trouble with summoning the girls to the Ball Room in the mansion.  One of our coders was able to finally isolate that issue this morning.  Its been fixed on our end, but on the grounds that I've already started work on the next build, Patrons wont see the fix until the next major build, and everyone else will have to wait until the build with the fix becomes public.

Inheritance Progress Report:

One of our coders (TheMadExile) was hard at work last night.

What did they do?

-Rebuilt the Skills mechanic  to be more efficient and to remove old junk code from it.

-Completely rebuilt the Cheat Menu to make it more efficient.   As well as added a few more skills related to the girls that I had not yet added to the Cheat Menu.

-Reorganized the sidebar a bit to make it look cleaner and more efficient.

General Progress Report

Day didn't go quite as planned, but that's not entirely a bad thing.

My intent was to write two new small scenes for Wanton Cove today.  

Instead, I ended up making a couple of bug fixes for Inheritance and posting fix builds for the Patreon versions of the game.  Spent some time talking with one of our coders about skills in the game as we prepare to actually start dealing with skill checks in the game and put the girls to work maintaining the house and everything that entails...

This should resolve the issue with the Settings option not appearing in the sidebar.  This should be a cosmetic fix for those of you who have pledged at this level, but for $5 Patrons, this allows access to the Cheat Menu that will allow you to adjust stats at will.
