FB: Chapter 31 – Second Altar

The next day I woke up in an inn in Lighthouse Town. From there I hiked to a spot on the beach a distance up the coast and then began building an altar. A similar set up to the altar I had in the Murk Swamp with a bit more height would be best. Once it was built, I would then lure in all the monsters in the sea onto the shore in large numbers.

The Fish Men had levels that ranged from 30 to 50, with their commanders and mages around level 60. I had no idea how quickly I would be able to ...

FB: Chapter 30 – Cat Dance

The champion’s waiting room was much nicer than the regular waiting area with free food and drinks being available. But it made sense, since it wasn’t an easy title to get. The fight with Cat Dance wouldn’t be easy either. I had reviewed her matches and fighting style to refresh my memory and plan out my strategy. I was sure she would be doing something similar. I would rate her combat level as A+, which meant I wasn’t overly concerned.

She used a combination of throwing weapons...

My first stop after leaving the arena was with one of the clerks. “Welcome Champion Foxy Blight, how can I assist you?”

“I am here to collect all my winnings including the rolling bet,” I said.

“One moment, while I total up your balance,” the clerk moved to the side and shuffled some papers for a few seconds before coming back. “Would you like a breakdown?” he asked.

“Just the final total,” I said.

“Your final total is 87 platinum, 20 gold, 14 sil...

FB: Chapter 28 – Final Battles

I logged into Exponential, waking up in an inn near the coliseum in Fang City. I made my way over there and checked in for my first match. I noted the banners that were hanging up showing me puking on a person, which made me smile.

The advertising had been worthwhile. While the coliseum would advertise on their own based on some criteria, by the time I got free advertising it would have been too late. I needed as much hype as early as possible so people would place bets on my Champion r...

It was my 50th match. “Foxy! Foxy! Foxy!” I could hear the crowd cheering in the stands. My interview had exploded in terms of popularity with my champion run. I was the new hot and trending topic. The number of memes with my barf screenshot had taken off. Some of the best memes were quite hilarious.

“Foxy Blight?” Fred asked me. We were in Fang City in a private room for the interview.

“Yes, Fred is it?” I asked.

“Yep, kept the same name in game. Branding reasons,” he replied. I nodded at that. “This here is a Rebecca,” he introduced me to the woman. I shook her hand.

“A pleasure. I like your outfit. A guild?” she asked me.

“Yes, I am the Guild Leader of the Fanged Fox Guild,” I replied with a smile.

FB: Chapter 25 – Build And Fighting

I was finally done grinding in Murk Swamp, getting up to level 30. As an airship carried me to Fang City, I first put on the outfit that had been designed for me by a professional designer and I had approved of.

My outfit consisted of a short dark green mini-skirt, a long sleeve crop top that exposed my midriff with the guild logo in the center above my breasts, a half cloak that went to the bottom of the mini-skirt, fingerless gloves, tall boots with gold fur trim at the top, and glove...

MM: Epilogue

I stood on the observation deck of the aircraft carrier as countless bombs rained down in the distance. The last elder snake was putting up a good fight, but was being slowly worn down. Ever since my first encounter, it always amazed me how much punishment the elder snakes could take.

Two decades of missions, fighting, and becoming even more powerful. Mousethief and his schemes were interesting, but nothing worthwhile. Once I removed him, the experience I earned was much greater. He had...

I looked at my new title, Divine Slayer. It was beyond an amazing title and was a bit broken. The physical, magical, and stat increase didn’t change in the slightest from Unstoppable Slayer. Instead, I got an extra title slot, which was beyond priceless.

FB: Chapter 23 – Descent Into The Bottomless Pit

It was the last day of grinding zombie monsters for coins and skill experience. I would come back here after my trip down the Bottomless Pit to speed level to 30, but that would take at most two days. It had been 300 real world days since I had first logged into Exponential.

I had earned a total of 724,042,440 skill experience so far. I had spent most of it, since if I died, I would lose it all. It was a shame to invest all that experience right now, but the risk of dying and losing it ...

I looked at the finished apartment building. The contractors and workers had come through big time. Finishing on time and on budget. The budget was inflated but finishing it on time was far more important in my mind. The ground was frozen at the moment, but construction was still continuing with the remaining buildings.

We had signed a tentative agreement to build 9 more apartment blocks to be completed half a year from now, then 30 after that, and then 80. I would have to have the mone...

FB: Chapter 21 – My Loving Family

I had gone back home for Thanksgiving to New Jersey. Beth was working in Exponential along with the minions Anthony had sent into the game. A guild account had been set up in game. Any money they earned or were paid, half was automatically deposited at the Bankers Union where the union would deposit it into the guild account. They could collect their pay in coin and put it in their inventory. But doing that would see them get kicked out of the guild if discovered. Also, it was a huge hassle t...

Anthony

I watched the girl who was my newest and most interesting business partner leave in her car with her hired driver. I looked at my wife. “What do you think?” I asked.

“She clearly has confidence and isn’t afraid to answer questions. But it is a big gamble, and you want to double down?” Isabella asked me. That was the question. She had been surprisingly cooperative about most things but had clear red lines in regards to things she would not accept....

“Thank you for inviting me to your home,” I greeted Isabella, Anthony’s wife. She gave me a hug which I returned. I then handed over an expensive bottle of wine I had stored in the car in case I had a surprise meeting and needed a gift. I had three others just like it in a case in the trunk.

“How thoughtful. Italian as well. Did Anthony tell you I liked this vintage.”

“I saw a similar bottle when we had a business dinner previously and figured it would make a good gift...

I looked over the group of twenty rougher looking men who Anthony was sending into Exponential first. They had been sent an information packet to read ahead of time. I was showing up now to answer any questions they might have.

“Hello everyone. I am April, but in Exponential I am Foxy Blight and will be the guild leader running things in game. I hope you all read the packet, so I will start answering questions right away,” I said to the group.

“We have to pretend it is real ...

“Why Fanged Fox Corporation?” Anthony asked while our teams of lawyers were busy crafting a contract with both of our requirements. I had instructed the team of lawyers I had hired to keep it simple and clear cut. Their main instruction was to not over complicate things if at all possible. I had also given them a list detailing specific items regarding how the deal should be structured.

“Miss Short Sell,” the man greeted me back in a friendly and slightly teasing tone. “I wish to call upon you for a favor.”

“If I am not mistaken, I have already paid my loan back and fee, so you want a favor from me?” I asked this question to confirm our relationship with each other. I had no idea what this man wanted, but if he was calling me the...

I looked at my former best friend sitting across the table from me. She had come up all the way to upstate New York to see me. Thankfully she had let me know ahead of time. She asked to stay with me. I had arranged an AirBnB room for three nights instead. I tried not to be judgmental, since from her perspective we were quite close, while I had ten years to grow more distant.

“I was getting worried about you. Locked up all day,” Bethany said.

FB: Chapter 14 – Planning

A week of high intensity zombie slaying later, everything was going smoothly. My dual wield plan was easy enough. It was mentally tiring to repeat the same motions for ten hours every day, but seeing the numbers shoot up was motivation enough for now.

Every 2,046,000 experience, I would personally add experience to 32 junk skill shards and make an Epic skill shard that was maxed out on experience. I had made 13 so far. The first 8 had been for Gamblers Commitment. I had 4 equip...

After an hour the first blood flower crumbled, and I placed a second. The horde just kept on coming. I made a loop around my platform clockwise, killing two zombies per side. Each kill took about five seconds, which included moving to the next zombie.

I wasn’t worried about my stamina either. With a basic weapon and using a basic attack, I consumed one stamina per attack. I was regenerating one stamina per second at level 1. Running would also consume stamina, but one couldn’t run i...

I put the last stone blocks into place. It was my eighth real day and the altar was finally done. I had made 7 trips yesterday and today to finish it up for tomorrow. I left the stone altar and made my way back towards Murk Town.

I was just glad it was over. Now the real headache would begin. I would have to switch over to 12 hour grind sessions per day. I didn’t want to, but it was necessary. Since it took about 50 minutes to get all the way out here to the altar from the town. If I ...

I went to the construction materials store. It was not a popular store, unless someone purchased some land in game and needed to order a lot of supplies. Or in the very rare case before I came back, took over as a noble and wanted to build up their area.

“What can I do for you?” the clerk asked. They were all technically different people, but their attitudes were very similar. If I went to another town or made small talk, then I would begin to see the differences between the various...
