Drew the Unspecified Creature again.
I had been working on this one for a while, figured I'd call it finished.
Adding some effects to iterate on the style a bit, I think it's an improvement.

I hope the art style is still working for you all. I originally designed it around the main dragon and the spaceship backgrounds, but all these colorful characters really stand out as a result.

My interpretation of a character I really like, from a show I really like. Had the inspiration to do this, and I think it worked out well. I may have gotten a little carried away with the thickness.

Mostly, I did this picture to practice drawing humans. Used a reference for the man's face - I drew it at a larger size and shrank it down, which is probably the only way I can draw decent faces at this scale.
So this will be picture 01 out of a current 2. Hopefully this will become a proper sequence, a narrative is already forming, I just needed some ideas to toy with.
The first two 'volunteers' enter the program...

This page took forever and a half. A lot of that was building the 3D cargo bay, which has way more detail than is visible in these renders, but it will be used for many more pages, so it's probably okay. I think I like it better without the filters on the background. It's still obviously a 3D render, but at least it looks more like a proper background and less abstract.
As per usual, the page may be edited if I spot problems, but the final version will be included in the complete comic,...

Holy cow, this comic page will go down in history as 'most misjudged how much work it would be'. (Also, I had a hard drive faillure which ate a couple days to deal with.)
I had to cram a lot into one page, so there's a lot going on here. Her transformation will be complete on the next page. I'm still getting the hang of combining 3D modeled backgrounds and 2D drawn characters, but I think overall I like where it's going. The style may change slightly over time as I iterate on it.

The last comic page really reminded me how much I still struggle with humans, so I decided to do something human-adjacent as practice. I decided to use a harpy sketch that I didn't quite like as a basis for this.
This is a dragonblood sorceress on a quest to maximize her dragon heritage and eventually become a full dragon. It's been an idea I've toyed with a lot without ever actually drawing it. I'll be drawing her dragon form too, of course.

Holy cow, this has got to be the longest I've ever spent on a single comic page. Much of that was building the medlab room and props, as well as setting up the lighting. Hopefully I'll get some more mileage out of that model on the next few pages.

This comic is partially being commissioned by Drash, partially I'm adding pages so I can have some other scenes I like, and include some patrons in cameos.
