Who puts their umbrella in the water?!

took a while but I finished! Pretty happy with the result, because I haven't drawn a background like this before... with the water reflection, clouds, and fisheye effect.

The wet shirt was also something that I had to learn for this piece! Hopefully the shading gets that point across. Feeling pretty burnt out after finishing this... But I should be back on my feet in like two days!

Wanted to work on a picture before I tried making an official reference for her! Colors are probably not final as a lot of my characters end up going through some changes as I draw them more, but I want to be more confident about my designs and be fine with some imperfections at the start!! Probably will be looking to be able to add more red into her current outfit.

She's pretty stoic personality wise. Very organized but a bit too perfectionist.

I haven't drawn my wolf with their glasses officially on yet, so I wanted to try out how it would look like. I made the frame a bit small at the bottom so it didn't look as dorky, haha.

Been doing other doodles in past few days but they haven't been turning out the way I want them to be! So went back to my comfort character... it's simple enough to not take too long but very pleasing for me to draw and look at ^^;

Finished with another picture! A week after the other one, pretty satisfied with the speed!

I spent a long time on this one trying to decide what outfit I wanted to give them. The... cloth? over the arms and around the back was something I wanted to incorporate, however the clothes on the body were tough to figure out. I could have made the T-shirt over-sized, however there would be too many objects in this picture that hung downwards, so I wanted a separate piece of clothing that hugge...

Sona (Colored Final)

Finished up one of the WIPs I posted! Here, I had a special focus on the eye. It's a bit of a different style from what I usually do, but I did want to improve how I draw them. 

Overall, I think the picture ended up alright, I think I drew the head a bit too round for this piece (It's more of a hair thing, which I should also try to improve). Because of this, it looks a tad too big.

(Suggestive warning) Body Studies and Possible WIPs

Hi! As I always enjoy drawing my characters in over-sized clothing, I have not really put much effort into learning body shapes and how to draw the underlying anatomy. I spent a fair amount of time looking at some references and wanted to improve upon the body shape I want for my sona..! So yes, there has to be some partial nudity here, which I'm still pretty embarrassed to share. 

Overall, I wanted to capture the character to look small, but avoid looking "child-like", which turns...

Well, this had a long time coming! I had bigger goals for this piece, but it some turned too hard to do. Also I made a few mistakes in having each frame redraw the background. Because it stays static, it would be best to just have it all be a single frame, but I didn't think about that until it was too late.

Managed to finish most of my projects for school, so I used my free-time to finish the picture! Though, my tablet stopped working midway through, but after resetting all the settings, I was able to fix it. Probably need to start looking for a new tablet soon...

Hey all! Currently reaching the end of the quarter and all my classes are having their projects due, so I'm currently crunching away.

Decided I wanted to do something fast but something I enjoyed, so I decided to do the my classic comfort pokemon, glaceon! Not only that, it's my sona this time, which I don't really draw that much anymore (and do regular non-sona glaceons instead)

Well that was somewhat fast. Though it is because I didn't need to shade the piece. However it still took an agonizing amount of time to color each frame one by one... Some could be copy pasted from the last but there's a ton of movement frames that differ by just enough that you can't...

Apart from that, I'm really happy with how this turned out! Animating is really fun and I really enjoy seeing the final piece flow! I learned a lot while doing this and used some of the things I learne...

I added some jiggle to everything to make it seem smoother! Also dogs/wolves can't actually sheath their claws, but I thought it would look cooler like that soooooo....

I picked up CSP at the beginning of this year after one sleepless night of thinking of ideas I wanted to animate! This is something simple for me to get more comfortable with the program and learning the basics to movement and such as well...

Not the most complicated thing, but the most complicated animation I did so far!

full bodies are hard! and usually it doesn't look as good as a thigh-up picture. Though, I kind of like the way this one came out. One thing I'd like to do if I could redo this is to make the legs slightly bit longer.

Anyways I currently did all my progress in Clip Studio Paint! Been getting used to working with it so I feel progress is a bit slower that if I did it all in SAI! But I want to use CSP to animate some ideas later so it's better if I start practicing it.
