Blog: Just looking at the old stuff
I had some free time today at morning and looked the last page I'm drawing of the Derideal remake.. and decided to compare the scene with the actual comic.
and I got a bit surprised how dated the old pages look....
I'm amazed some people got to read the comic and enjoy it back then, despite my lack of skill...
I guess it was time for a reboot.
I'm spending more time drawing the lineart of the remake than I did in derideal ep 6+
so it's even noticeable some ...

well, here's part 2.
I plan to escalate this thing as I'm feeling comfortable. But I probably won't make it a long comic and it won't have dialogs and it will be mostly a single scene in panels.

This is sort of a commission mixed up with a Patreon Reward.
I enjoyed a lot making this, in part because Krimson Nova asked me to create a character for his girl, and I was surprised it was an elephan, I mean, they aren't that common I guess.... she was supposed to be a huffalump which seems to be a plushy elephan, but according to descriptions I couldn't go full plushie.. so I just tried to get to a middle point with this.

we see Carlos, remember that guy? the medic from the original comic... I can't say he's going to be as important in this version of the story, but I didn't wanted to erase him from the story, so I found a way to introduce him for a while before we get to see the most important rebels.

Krystal in space, this time in a more happy setting! nothing has gone wrong this time :)
I decided to redesign the suit I was using for the other commissions of this type and made one more "classic" looking... also changed some of the color scheme.
