Derideal 17 cover WIP

There's not much I can say about this cover.

but it's based of a painting of the myth of Narcissus.

I mostly took it as reference because Alpha is like a corrupted reflection of Aden.
and Alpha always seems to feel to have lost something, it got a different meaning than the myth, but the pose was cool.

Nemesis cadacter nx2

I guess the nemesis cadacter was the topic of this weekend for me.
I had just having fun figuring out the helmet, armor plate looks and sketching things up.

Giving these cadacter types more personality and a more "helmet with face" feeling... Since the other Cadacter are meant to be more faceless. I'm modifying each cadacter helmet to look more unique and give them some races, I'm also giving them some mechanical mouths in some cases.

Nemesis duo sketch

I made this quickly tonight before going to sleep... I don't like the result much, I should keep trying.
It turned out less dynamic than I wanted. But I'm going to share it here anyway... I enjoy drawing these sketches, it's more relaxing.

I'm still figuring out the Nemesis cadacter, idk why I'm focused on that now tbh. Just interested in it and I got so many other things to draw sketches of.

I haven't made many concept of these , but I wanted to get something done that I like for the future.

I plan to use these guys as enemies in the future XEN comics.

At the contrary of the other Cadacter, the Nemesis types are elite troops and I wanted that their designs to be very different from the generic types

I've been drawing this nemesis cadacter since I started working in XEN and the armor changes structure so many times already.
And I'm never happy about it.

This time I'm trying a new helmet design that looks more different than the regular cadacter and also smaller claws. This will allow the Nemesis cadacter to wield weapons.

I'll keep draw this thing for a while...

At least I'm liking the plate division on the armor.

The Consortium conditioning is something I imagined since the first time I came up with the Derideal story.

and its important for the theme of the whole comic,

Aden is created to be useful, to follow rules that he didn't cared. He just wanted freedom

Alpha is dominated by lies, by meeting expectations... by trying ...

The Consortium conditioning is basically a subconscious programming.

I imagine that xenos are basically frozen by something similar to fear, it clouds their mind and force them to obey a scientist order, they'll just try and follow the orders just to release themselves of this feeling of fear/abandonment/anxiety.

well, that's why Laura seems to be afraid when she heard a direct order. She's shivering in the last panel.

Lexi character concept

I've been wanting to include a lizard character back in the comics, this guy it's been "somewhat" present in the very few XEN ideas I had.

he was originally called "Lex" but I liked more how it sounds like Lexi haha

I also thought it sounds cute and small, but he's some sort of dinosaur now.

he won't be too big anyway.

he's one of the "Lost clan", and will be important for some parts of the XEN new story I'm writing.

Anniversary 2024

This is a personal drawing.

I try to draw a sticker every year for our anniversary, and I try to showcase our house adventures.
This year were were remodeling a room in the backyard for storage and laundry... It involved a few things at first but new thing came up.

I made it a little twisted because removing one window the roof almost went down XD
It got some lemon trees because I got 2 in the backyard.
