Derideal Alpha design
I was thinking about making a "comic" like desing, considering I, most of the time, define myself as a "webcomic" artist haha, and my comic is one of the most important things in my life.
I guess Aden and Laura have been a little "lost" among my thoughts, considering it's all about Alpha and Ivory, since Derideal part 3 is the latest I've been working on.

This page was originally how the episode was supposed to start, as I originally had draw the storyboards.
but due several rewrites of the following episodes, I found necessary to add an introduction to imply how much time have passed from the previous episode to this one, like, it's been some time already, and Alpha has seemed a bit lost during this time.
this is one of the "longest" episodes of part 3, and I guess it's because I wrote it first, even before the previous one haha.....

honestly, they never formally started a relationship-- but Ivory thinks that way.
well, I guess if you consider the abetment part of the canon, she got more motives to think that way.

Lost memories 6, page 1 WIP
Phew! I'll try to post some more WIP updates about this comic project.
I hope you're enjoying it, to me it's a very important story, as I love Mix... and it took me a while to decide what to do, and how to do it, it's certainly been an experience trying to make a "less" dramatic story, with a much more light tone.
I guess can't leave the "nostalgia" that runs across my "derideal" stories... I was event tempted to call the story "Derideal: Lost memories"... because the story in gen...

Lost memories blog
hello! I just wanted to update a bit about this little project of mine.
I guess it's not so little after all huh? if I'm not mistaken, Lost memories has around 18 episodes, of different lenghts.
I think I did sort of a good job encapsulating a single "idea" in an episode, and most of the episodes are just a "single memory" but some... are just complementary ones, like almost follow up from the previous memory in a chronological order.

Nothing fancy, just wanted to draw the current sigma xeno critters I've made.
I imagine them to be about the same size and complexion of the prime beta 1, varying depending on the species (Laura for example in the comic is a beta 1 xeno)
But I really made this picture because of how I imagine their eyes, with a bright effect on them, mostly a reflective capacity (just for show, not actual biological/useful reason, but maybe they might see well at night))

THIS EPISODE IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE ORIGINAL!!!
ok this took me a while! but I managed to cut certain parts of the story that just were "cool to me" but weren't exactly helping.
I guess I liked it, but I decided to get rid of the entire "nightmare" dream in this episode.
and I replaced everything with a longer Aden + Laura interaction, also giving some more info about Laura's past.

This time I want to talk about planning stories.
in general, there are two ways of making a story:
- Planning everything, and use structures.
- Going with the flow (use intuition)
Derideal is the second type of story, mostly because when I came up with the story I had 17 years old or something. I've learned everything along the way, how to make better looking pages, drawing, how to tell a story...
It's easy to THINK you know exactly the story you want ...

Derideal Chimeras (16-17-18-19) END
These are the final pages of the "chimeras" episode.
this episode will become the comic's prelude, as I mentioned.
The idea of this episode is to basically tease the "entire story" to new readers. so they don't get so confused when Part 1 ends.
it's also supposed to be interesting for people to keep reading how it goes.
lots of instrospection, but it's just a way to "present" the characters, the world, and make clear there's the Consortium and the rebels.
