I really like working on a spread all at once but my old iPad could only handle 3 layers which got really restrictive. But I've since upgraded my iPad and now I can have over 40 layers!

You can tell what pages were done at the same time because Claire's hair is different in each set, oops. I did do some edits after to help transition to her hair just falling out of place. But anyway, the lunch course should be a fitting distraction, I am still very fond of the absolute monstrosity I created.

I know video quality is a little potato right now but it will get better by pages 8-9 as that's when I finally figured out how to change the settings properly, along with upgrading my iPad. Watching this I am wishing I had left the pancakes filling more of panel 1, face it, they are the real star here and I want them.

Claire's surname was originally Redfield which I thought was wholly original but nope! I've never even played any Resident Evil games but I think I was commissioned to draw her at least once. Things that just stick in your head.

Mild strobe effect warning -- when it gets to inks, I kept accidentally filling the entire canvas so it tends to flash black to brown a few times.
I wasn't sure exactly what style I wanted to use for this page going in, but I think I ended up with a nice synthesis of both! Still took forever to ink, but at least digital inks don't come with mess.

The beginning of the video is a little weird because the recording got messed up somehow, but in a way that was timelapse-esque, so it's still useable just a bit chunky. Do watch out when the inks start, I keep spinning the page around and it's wild at 4000x speed

I had experimented with coloring the little chambers on the wall blue since the little squiddie tentacles are being kept cold, but the red looked metaphorically cooler. Sometimes mixing the colors in this palette works, sometimes it doesn't.
