Hunter and prey
I swear, everytime SEGA releases outfits of these two, they always suspiciously match with each other. Now they gave a zebra outfit for sonic and cheetah outfit for shadow. Well, cheetahs eat zebras, so it seems like a hunter and prey situation. Seems pretty obvious that there is something going on here hehe. I made a top/bottom or dom/sum joke in my twitter circle about it. We made a thread of artworks involving these two in a heated chase.

I swear I didn't know sega was going to release sonic & friends this week. I bought plushies last week to marry them (I have the same accessories from older toys). Lo and behold, the plush is the same exact style as the animations. Thus, I drew a sonadow asap. Aren't they adorable? Now together in every universe and continuity ✨️ 🖤💙

Would be very happy if Sega made this canon, at least within the prime universe. First twitter post that caught the attention of big sonic artists out there. I gotta say, I surprised myself at how well I rendered the characters. I only ever done messy doodles before, not fully rendered work.
