This week I've been doing some minor tweaks and rendered graphics for Sigrid the giraffe so that she can be added as a side pred.
I've also been working on a system that will allow you to keep playing on your save after updating the game. Do note that you will still need to start a new game once version a0.5 releases, but that shouldn't be necessary in the updates that come after it! As usual, I spent much of this week eliminating reported bugs.
However, I also had time to implement a drinking scene with Elaine. As shown in the video, if Elaine is sitting in the living room, you can ask if she wants to have a drink with you. Note that every time you drink, the amount of food in the fridge is lowered. I spent this week starting to implement alcohol into the game mechanics, which turned out to be a surprisingly big endeavor. Basically, I have to add a bunch of new conditional checks to a lot of my code and then test the game several times throughout the process to make sure that I haven't broken anything. >w<
