He peeled himself off the floor with a tired groan. He subconsciously activated his healing skill off pure instinct. But let out a sigh when the restrictive item prevented it from working.
It had been over a week since he arrived, and he had already made some progress. His kinetic energy control has slowly transformed during this short period. It helped that the other students pushed him to improve.
It was amazing how much motivation he got when Bilbo was beating his ass into the ...

Galten POV
Galten let out a tired sigh. At his old age, he sometimes wondered if he was better off just spending his days relaxing around his house. As he entertained that idea for the thousandth time, he shook his head. He already knew how that would end up. He had tried that a few times in the past, and it never ended like he planned.
Each time, he had eventually gotten tired of it. His family was quite large, and he was constantly harassed by his grandchildren ...

After his lessons, he had to go down to the town where he would help as an assistant at one of the clinics that healed adventurers or people who got injured fighting outside the town’s protective borders.
He didn't do much of any actual healing. Freya made sure that he understood that very well. She still didn’t trust him to heal anyone until he got better control of his healing abilities.
However, he would at least aid the healers and see firsthand how they managed inju...

Julius gingerly walked out to the courtyard. His entire body was on fire. Soreness flared across every limb. Even places like his neck were sore.
Freya and Cain had given him rules to follow. First off, he wasn’t allowed to use [Phoenix Renewal] to heal himself without them being present. He also wasn’t allowed to use his body enhancement skill. Much like he had restricted himself to in the past, he was only permitted to use kinetic energy to fuel his movements.
Hi...

He didn’t come running over, but Julius could see a drastic change in the man’s attitude. It was like he was injected with a good night's sleep. Julius and Freya waited until Cain finished up the class, sitting on one of the benches at the side of the room.
When everyone had finally left the room, Cain came over to them. The first thing he did was give his wife a big hug and kiss on the lips.
“Well, this is a surprise. You never come and visit me during one of the clas...

He and Freya did end up getting along pretty well, much to his relief. That didn’t mean Doren got the same treatment. For some reason, the woman had a grudge against Doren, which was somewhat surprising since it was Doren’s idea to bring Julius here.
He was curious about what had happened two years ago.
“You want me to train him? Some gift that is,” Freya said lazily from her lounging position. She had taken them to a secluded area to talk.
“Eh, more like give some...

Getting teleported so many times in a single day was disorienting. His Concept helped him a lot, but the distance of the teleportation affected how dizzy he got.
The distance he had just teleported was enormous because it felt like he was in the spatial ripples for way longer than usual. When he opened his eyes, the first thing he noticed was the soft white flecks of snow gently drifting from the sky.
It was the middle of summer, so it was surprising to see such weather. That made...

“Who do you represent?” The woman asked Doren with a respectful bow.
Doren shrugged his shoulders. “I represent myself.”
She sounded relieved at this answer. “That makes things easier. So, why are you here?”
“My own interests,” Doren said simply.
“And they are…?” She prodded.
“None of your business,” Doren told her bluntly.
She took it well and didn’t bring it up again. “Well, I appreciate you dealing with that fellow ove...

Julius and Edwin stopped all of their movements to stare at one another. Julius was tempted to run over and give his old trainer a hug. He knew that Edwin wasn’t the hugging type, but he doubted the cranky old man would reprimand him for doing that.
“What are you doing?” Julius heard the Tier 5 called out impatiently.
Both of them ignored this man. Instead, Julius turned to look at Doren. “Would you be willing to do me a favor?...

Edwin POV
After the attack on the estate, Edwin had been heavily injured and barely managed to escape. It was only because of Lukas’s sacrifice that it was possible. Despite being outnumbered, Lukas had been able to hold his own for a while.
However, no matter how strong he was, there was a limit to how much he could fend off the other Tier 5s. In the end, Lukas burned his soul to generate enough power to kill his opponents. Only Edwin had made it out alive.&nbs...

Julius didn’t get time to prepare. Before he was ready, the man was already going in for the kill. He disappeared with a quick activation of shadow mana. Something that Julius looked at with suspicion. In his experience, those with shadow mana were often a part of the Genshen Clan or just assassins.
Did this mean these people were a part of the Genshen Clan? That would certainly make sense. Or were they a part of the Conclave? That would also make sense.
He would have aske...

He felt a bit of satisfaction when all of their faces flashed with alarm. They recovered quickly, though. The swordsman took the aggression this time, but he didn’t rush in. He must have noticed that Julius had a perception skill that would allow him to track him even when turned around.
Julius didn’t care. He was on a time limit anyway. His mana hadn’t fully recovered, so using this technique would be strenuous. Drasil had only recovered a little bit of his life energy as well. T...

Julius finally got a look at the rest of the people who were a part of the mage’s team. One was a man in a thick suit of full-body armor. Julius wasn’t able to tell what he looked liked, the big ass helmet obscured his features.
The other member of their small team was a woman covered in robes, bearing a long staff with both hands. He was already quite confident that this was the woman who had saved the swordsman from before and was also a healer on top of it. He was able to sense p...

“Julius, do you know who this man is?” Lily asked anxiously. She likely was able to figure out that Doren wasn’t a Tier 4 or even a Tier 5. The man exuded that kind of presence.
“I do,” he said simply, letting her connect with her empathic ability to let her feel his current emotions. It was only then that she calmed down.
He ignored the others for the time being. “Did you know that the people were going to target my friends?” he asked Doren with a frown....

Julius didn’t do too much to help them out. They appeared to have things handled for the most part. He only took out the monsters that the others hadn’t sensed. It was a simple task to snipe them out of the air. Most of them were Tier 3s, and he hadn’t detected any Tier 4s making their way toward them.
Things were going well until a sudden explosion rocked the field. Thankfully, they were far enough away that they weren’t injured, but he looked up to see that the missing Tier 5 ...

Author's Note: Hello! First off, a big thanks for all of the support! We have almost reached 400 chapters. It's crazy to think that it has been a little over a year since this journey started. I am immensely grateful to all of you guys!
With all of that being said, I wanted to warn you guys that I am in the middle of a move and won't have time to write, which means I might not be able to post the normal six chapters this week, and I apologize in advance!

The others had sensed that something was wrong based on Julius’s reaction. They all stared in the same direction he was looking.
“What is it?” Lily asked in a worried tone.
“A horde of monsters coming our way,” he quickly explained, he didn’t bother to turn around toward them. He maintained his focus on the rapidly approaching group. It would appear they hadn’t been able to hide from his perception, simply they were too far away for him to sense them. That was the go...

Upon exiting the rift, Julius looked around and spotted the hundreds of other participants all leaving the rift simultaneously. It was very hectic. Everyone was on edge and had various conditions.
The guild was already prepared with medical equipment and healers for those who might have gotten injured. Surprisingly, there were not as many as Julius had thought there would be.
It would appear that a lot of the people chose to end their attempt before they got too seriously injured....

When the dust cleared, he was somewhat disappointed but not surprised that Doren was completely unharmed. Even his clothes, which had no sign of protection, were unruffled. The only sign that Julius had hit him with an attack was the slight reddish tinge in the middle of his forehead.

“You really want me to punch you?” Julius repeated with confusion.
“What? I am curious,” Doren said with an excited grin.
Julius couldn’t deny that he was curious as well. He wanted to see just how much stronger someone like Doren was. If Julius’s instincts were right, and they usually were, then this man was beyond Tier 6. Meaning that, other than Jasper, this man was the strongest person Julius had come across.
However, when he had met Jasper, Julius hadn...

Author's Note: After reading your comments, I decided these chapters would be better read together. In the final edit, I will probably chop it up and shorten it. When I was writing it, I didn't realize how much I had written for this little part. I apologize in advance :(
Also, this is just a reminder that if you like the daily updates and don't want the early release, you can ignore this and pretend like nothing happened. I know it is asking a lot, but I believe in you.

Julius found himself standing alone in the empty room. His discussion with Savath had been more illuminating than expected. He had been able to learn a lot about this rift, got some advice, and even discovered that there was another continent other than this one.
Of course, he already had some theories about that, but it also hadn’t been confirmed. Coming from a world that had access to such advanced technology, he found it hard to believe that this world was isolated to just a single...

Doren POV
Doren paid as close attention to the rift as it allowed him. Usually, he would task someone else with doing it, but this was a unique situation. This particular rift wasn’t considered a success and was forgotten as he and the others worked on other projects.
“What made you so interested in this rift after all of this time?” He heard Gale ask him as they both enjoyed a little meal.
“I got notified about some curious developments. It might be...

Julius was completely spent. There was nothing left in his tank. He was running on fumes. It was a miracle he was still standing after all of that. Even Drasil was running ragged. The poor spirit had been fueling his healing skill directly, which helped Julius a lot, but considering how much damage he put his body through, it almost hadn’t been enough.
If Julius hadn’t landed that final strike, he would have been truly out of mana. Nothing would have saved him at that point. The opp...

Savath POV
His mind was cloudy. There were huge gaps in his memory. He could remember some things, but for the most part, he couldn’t figure out how he managed to get here. From the hints provided by this boy and the fact that he was inside a rift, it was likely that he wasn’t even real.
This was a copy of the real Savath that someone or something had managed to create for this specific rift. However, that led to even more questions. How was someone able to do...

The demon strolled toward Julius nonchalantly. Unlike the demons from before, it didn’t come off as too haughty or conceited, it felt more assured and came from actual confidence in his own strength. Perhaps that was why it was considered a lord compared to the other demons. Furthermore, he was confused because from what he was able to gather from the guild, monster lords were normally only called that when they were really strong.
Typically, they were Tier 5 at the very least, ...

The demons roared and swarmed him at the same time. Blasts of mana tore through the air, and the remaining warrior demon decided to hold back for now. Perhaps it had already seen Julius teleport and was wary of leaving the mages alone.
It was honestly a smart decision, but unfortunately, it wasn’t going to help them much. Julius finally created a plate of thick mana he had been preparing this entire time. It was one that was woven with aura, making it much more durable than his ...

There were so many monsters that he didn’t have a moment to breathe. Despite being able to kill them with a single blow, the sheer number of them was a challenge. Of course, forcibly steering them toward him didn’t help this at all. However, all this meant was that he would be pushed to his limits in a satisfying way.
He was adapting his kinetic energy usage with each moment, every time, making it a bit cleaner and a bit more powerful. His Concept experienced similar growth.

He threw out a very far pulse of his perception skill and sensed a large group of monsters congregating outside the fort. He started to understand why he had initially sensed so many monsters when he had been flying over the forest.
Perhaps the prior floor was meant for him to fight these monsters on his way to the fort. He laughed, luckily for him he had taken a short cut and got here without having to deal with so many monsters.
It was likely just a part of the rift,...

Thankfully, all of Julius’s practice with way too complicated constructs came in handy. He was able to transfer his amazing chair-making skills to constructing a pair of wings behind his back, which he modeled after eagle wings.
