Another fantasy hero design and another tanook to go with it! I wanted to try and change the fur patterning up on this tanuki to help make them more distinct to the other tanuki design.
I'm always a big fan of subverted expectations. Like a big massive battle scarred orc that's actually a cleric, kinda thing. And that's what I tried to go through here, I like the idea of in this game universe, tanuki magic makes them very good healers.
Another fantasy design! For this one, I wanted to do a gentleman style skunk with this massive fluffy gorgeous tail.
I liked the idea that they would make perfumes, potions and such, and uses them as ammunition for a flintlock style gun. I also thought the idea of being wrapped up in their tail can be pretty overpowering, leaving folks in a dreamy stupor. Fun stuff c:

A discussion I was having lead to the idea of Macan in a suit, and I quite like the trope of a wildman in a nice looking suit, so I tried to do that with Macan here! Tried to include little details like the spiked stripes, the eat me double entendre note,etc! Hope I did Macan justice here

Axe users dont tend to get much love in RPGs so I wanted to make a wholesome looking so I thought i'd try and design a few characters with axes too! As we've already had a big grey wolf previously, so I went with a tubby timber wolf design!

I think I had dingodile on my mind when I was designing this character, but I thought a bottom heavy pirate croc lugging around an anchor as a weapon could be a fun character concept!

I liked the idea of paw pads glowing when someone casts a spell and wanted to try experimenting with it! I liked the idea that this fox paints their nails and that they likely wear a bell to keep them from falling asleep during battle

Design wise, I'm always a big fan of character designs that obscure the eyes completely, and the idea of it being applied to an archer seemed quite humorous to me!

I figured this character would likely be an apprentice for the old wolf hero we originally designed! Young and determined with a lot of room to grow. I tried to incorporate elements from the old wolf hero to this fox such as the loops, the fur trim and the banded armour!

A female character this time, I wanted to do a kind of goth noble fencer style character! Originally I was planning on having them being a leopard gecko lizard or a black salamander, but a patron thought the tail looked a lot like an aboreal lizard! Another of the concepts cleaned up!
A big ol' relaxed tanuki boy! The original design had him as a tank/healer archetype, so I imagined he'd be able to tank hits with his bulk and affect allies and enemies with status effect changes
In reference to Pom Poko, and how tanukis supposedly drum on their bellies, I gave him a drum
A week or so ago, I started doodling some furry hero designs as practice to get out of art blocks and such. Whilst I have no plans for them at the moment, my mind went to doing a tactical rpg ala Shining Force, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics etc, with furry characters.
I doodled this buff grizzled wolf dude and thought that would make for a good mentor archetype, and then cleaned up the design here! What do folks think?

I was quite happy with the design I did for Tom Nook's little cameo in the bam series, so I thought I'd draw it proper!
Trying to go for a big winter coat tanuki dog vibes!
So I couldn't sleep and was talking with a patron. And they set me a challenge to do! Design robin hood as if he was a part of Housamo.
Taking obvious inspiration from Disney's Robin Hood, I went with fox. Tried to do some fun little references like the golden arrow being on his shoes! Robin of Loxley is the name used less often in the myth, and as a character exists in Housamo already called Robinson, this seemed like a nice little way to avoid confusion and to avoid legal threats.
