I usually avoid shooting in national parks because I struggle with the crowds. It's much easier to slip into that meditative trance that offers me a closer relationship with my body while in complete solitude where I can really do my thing. Which of course involves being naked and coexisting with my surroundings.

Since I'm in Virginia for the next two months following a solid year on the road in my van, it's time for a throwback. I'm staying here with a friend while I fix the van (and find some stability in my body again) before hitting the road again.
1. Duo self portrait with Astrid Kallsen last spring
2. Selfie with my friend's pot plants in Colorado. I did not ask permission.
3. Stop, drop, and golden hour at Death Valley. Good light? You pull over and shoot.

I have a lot of things I need to do. I started 5 things today. Didn’t finish them. Then edited this pic from March 2020 instead. Actually it’s great fun because 2 years ago I sucked at editing, so now I get to do them all again. Maybe I still suck though. Maybe I’ll just have some fun with it. Like I did here. With this one. I missed a spot though. Can you see it? It was still fun. It’s a picture of me at the swamp. I’m also swamped with things to do. Maybe I should go finish my thi...

Happy birthday to me. Got a budget hotel with an in room whirlpool right on the beach. It was a solid 55 and high winds but I didn’t let that stop me!

I want to publish a book! It'll take a while to get everything together. I'm enjoying revisiting photos that, even from a mere year ago, feel so different to spend time with. I'm ever-changing in so many ways. I shoot a lot. Sometimes it's really nice to revisit and slow down and collect and organize to create an ever stable foundation to grow from. It's hard to do that because I'm perpetually behind with the photo work. Many of you know this but with my unstable spine its really hard to be a...

Full Moon, Salton Sea. Dancing with dusk.
More to come
Alabama Hills was good to me. Elsewhere was kind of a struggle. And I feel like it’s shown in the photos. I got some really dark moody pics in Death Valley becuase thats how I was feeling in the wind. Here, I felt strong and expressive and relaxed. I was scrambling around these rocks barefoot. I didn’t have clothes with me to throw on because I felt tucked enough away from any human disturbances. It was soo nice to sink in and gecko around these rocks until the parting sun called me back ...

I didn’t think I would post that Mount Whitney photo I shared the other day to Instagram, but I ended up doing it today along with a few others, so now I’ll share those here for Lumbar too. My body is hurting like something fierce from all these back to back excursions in the elements, and I needed to share something meaningful and receive some energy from The People. It always helps.
Full sets to come.
PS. I’ll get to my messages in the next couple days :) thank...

I’m heading to some badlands in New Mexico today that have seen me grow from a tiny baby self portrait artist to the still-baby artist I am today. I won’t have much time as there’s a wind storm coming in tomorrow. Here’s a quick collection of a few photos ive taken there over the years since Fall of 2018.
Usually these are for Thoracic+ but I’m sharing to all tiers bc fuck I love Bisti.
PS. This is native reservation land. Always explore responsibly.

In case you missed it ;)
This was taken at the Devils Golf course in Death Valley. I had pulled up to this vast bed of hard salty mud on a whim before going to park for the night. I had myself a beer, blasted some tunes from the van, and shot for about 15 minutes. When I really sink in to enjoying the moment, magic tends to flow.
Instagram posts are for Lumbar. More of this magic in full sets for Thoracic+ ❤️

Hiii I am still technically off the grid, but I stole some wifi from a motel and want to share a preview of what’s to come. I took this 3 days ago in the Alabama Hills in CA. It feels like two weeks ago though. It’s been a whirlwind of a few days! I’m ok with it, as within a month I’ll be resting in Virginia for a couple of months. I already know it will be too short but I have more things to do later in the summer. Hope my body behaves... I think it will.
I really like this ph...

Hey all. I am currently in Death Valley and will be here for probably 2 more days. I have had little to no service for the past week. I had no idea it would be this wholly off the grid! But it’s been a nice reprieve. I have a lot of amazing photos to share to higher tiers. This has been a sort of soul mission revisiting places I saw in 2019 before I fixed my posture and got a handle on my spinal mobility/chronic pain. That was a totally different time. So it’s been awesome to feel myself ...

So about this evening ;)
I am house sitting which means I should be doing laundry, computer work, a shitload of PT, staring into the abyss within the safety of walls that aren't van walls.
I did indeed do a lot of that today, but I also grabbed the camera when the sun was setting and was really glad that I did. Here is a sneak peak of that. More for Thoracic+
Thanks for being here xx
