Coming back from a quick stint across the 4 corners to S. Utah. It was great to be in the low desert again. I’ll be back here for a longer period of time next month for even more good things. There’s a few specific trees and rocks I need to visit that I didn’t get to on this trip…. I’m not back yet so in the meantime enjoy this no context slice.

Not self portraits! These were taken way up on Mt. Evans amongst the fat marmots and ye olde bristcones. It was such a treat to pose with these 2,500 year old trees. Shot on Leica by Stephen Podraski, one of the few dozen or so photographers I’ll shoot with. I love creating with Stephen so much that I’ll even do a studio shoot with him, which I shared part of a few weeks back.

Happy eclipse day. Today is a lot more special than any made up capitalist, colonialist holiday that get its own Starbucks single use cup iteration. I had to cancel my very special eclipse trip with my best friends and I am sad like something fierce. In that same vein I wasn’t really able to take any kind-of-eclipse pics in Colorado today, and have resigned myself to indoor activities.

Scrub oak scrub

Last week or the week before now, I needed to get this body outside but couldn’t go very far. I parked next to some houses and went across an unsightly ditch for absolutely no reason and found this little clearing area that gave me just what I needed in the span of 20 minutes before my body cooled too much. I wish I had gotten more time but now I know where it is for the next time I need a quick fix.

Here’s a slice of Salt Moon from a couple years ago when I was frolicking on a beach (fucking TIME, man). I haven’t been able to feel spry lately lest I break in half so it’s nice or maybe not nice to gaze upon photos from times where I was.
