I'm not ready to post the comic, even for you guys yet... I wanted to take time to "fix" Lyn again and I'm tons happier with her than I have been lately. She's closer in style to the more successful character reworks that I've managed lately and I might be able to stop futzing with her for a bit now.
But here's the preview for the next strip including Lyn's overhaul.

I'm going to repost the strips from July as Patreon uploads (like I've been doing the HD comics this week). I'm not going to go back any further since that'd be spammy and too helpful for people who pledge/read/cancel.

There's various levels of completion here... sometimes I only post the finished sketches but Glenda in panel three is super, duper rough. I hadn't adjusted her size to fit Lizzy here and I just thought it was interesting to see how wonky it looked at this stage. I ended up really playing with the sizes to better fit the composition in the frames before I went to color, so there's a pretty noticeable difference if you look at the finished version and this. I'll be doing an extra strip for you Patreon patrons starring "Buffy" Bennett, the lovable stripper.
Glenda's hair in the sketch was just not working so when I was inking I changed it up to something more like it has been lately. I knew this comic was going to sink or swim in the coloring /effects stages, but I do like the character art on Lizzy and George in panel one.
Remember to look for the download link between the preview image and the thumbnails for other creations.

I wasn't sure how beat up I was going to have Lizzy in this, so in the first panel she has a bloody nose in addition to her black eye. I knew I was going to use a brush to create her broken lens in her glasses so I didn't bother including it in the sketch.

Okay, I've finally encountered the bug where people have problems seeing the images and links myself.
Until Patreon figures it out, let's try attaching the file to the post... I know it's a change in how I do things on Patreon, but hopefully if I use their systems it will work for everyone.

All characters nominated (barring those based on real life people I'm no longer using) will continue to be placed on the subsequent ballots. Additional characters can be added during nomination periods.
The catch is if a character receives zero votes during the voting phase they'll be removed from the following vote. If they're renominated they can return, but they'll miss at least one voting period.
This does mean that one character can win back to back times... and if they're popular e...

Coming up with Hannibal's look was the hard part for this strip. I'll get his look refined as he shows up more frequently. I tried a few different expressions on Hannibal's face for panel two since even I wasn't sure what tone I wanted him to have for this strip. I think I ended up with an okay answer to it.

Getting Lyn's left arm and hand "right" was a pain in the ass. I ended up borrowing from her last appearance since it just wasn't working. Panel one still has some stray bits from where I was going with it.

It can be someone who hasn't been in the comic for a while that you'd like to see again or someone you want to see more about their lives outside of plot based strips.
Not everyone who is nominated will be placed on the ballot though... since some characters aren't being used again for specific reasons. Just an FYI.

I just a lot of fun with this. Lizzy and Buffy are my favorites here. I've actually finally gotten a handle on Buffy the last two times she's appeared. It makes me want to use her in more strips.

This one is pretty close to how it turned out in the inks stage but I changed up Lyn's hand in panel two pretty severely while inking. It just didn't work out initially so I had to fix it. I really dig how Lyn's head tilt turned out in three... maybe even more in the finished version than here in the sketch.

I'm thinking about a new milestone where if we meet it for the month I'll open up voting for patrons to submit characters and then vote on who should get featured in a comic just for Patreon (also printed books later).
This way you get to have a say in me bringing back someone who you haven't seen in a while. So if there's someone you really want to see again, this will be a way to be able to make me use them~!
