Getting Lyn's super-wolf form right was a challenge. I didn't want to just draw some random werewolf... I had to make sure she still was in there. George was also a bit difficult to nail down his expression. I took several passes at him. Zoey also got a few tweaks, but mainly it was making her more feminine as her shoulders were super broad at one point.

Today's Zombie Roomie is obviously my fault.

Frequency

As of right now, we've unlocked three uncensored bonus strips for October. Hopefully sometime Tuesday we'll get the first. I'm thinking the second will come on the following Tuesday... and if things work out the third will be the Tuesday after that... If we hit another bonus strip by the time we should get a fourth, expect it to land on a Tuesday also.

Originally I drew Lyn in her human form, but I decided it was kinda goofy that her new tail was there without her sporting her fur. I just went in after I was almost done and added the pointy ear and some fur and changed the skin tone to her red hair color.

September print

I know it's October, but I haven't forgotten about the print download I owe you $10+ guys from September. I'm going to work on it some more today and hopefully get it ready by the weekend.

The thinking behind this strip's composition was the two character getting closer in each panel. Lyn being busy with looking for chicken while John is put off in panel 1. She's closer to him in panel 2, but he's still not letting down his defenses-- but he has the chicken. Lyn moves down to his level, turning his head to hers in panel 3.... plus she's taken some of the chicken for herself. It might not be the most thought provoking strip, but I dig it.

Uncensored ZR strips - You can make it happen!

Okay, since it's been asked/suggested hidden away in the comments of the butt sketch... I figured I would give it its own update. If there's enough interest, I could do a Patreon exclusive strip that is uncensored that shows the naughtier side of things that wont go up on ZR's actual site... i.e.: nudity/etc. I'd do them based on the amount of interest, so if we only got one or two people it'd be monthly... but if there were several backers I'd do more. Again, they'd be exclusive to those people...

Commission stuff

In addition to the Lyn vs. the skeleton warriors commission... I did this for the recipient. She really digs sharks, t-rex, and Red Sonja. So I drew her as Red Sonja riding a t-rex wearing armor to make it look like a shark. You know, something completely normal.

This one evolved a couple times during the course of drawing it. The drawing of Lyn in panel one was originally done for panel three, but I decided that the two of them being in the act of lying down helped sell her sarcastic reaction better.

I actually originally had drawn George and the ice cream truck guy, and the truck, pointing the other direction... I realized that the dialogue worked better if everyone was facing the other direction so I flipped things and redid the words on the truck. I then did John and all of panel 2... I think that's a big reason behind why the art works better in the second panel. Plus, it's visually more exciting too.

This is essentially a "talking head" strip so it's not the most visually interesting. Jack in panel three and Lyn in the first two panels stand out the most for me.

Panel 1 and 2 were just by the numbers panels where two characters are at the diner. They're pretty stiff due to the location... but I like the contrast they provide to the goofiness that is panel 3. I had a ton of fun drawing that in both the sketching and inking phase... Sometimes drawing the characters with their eyes closed doesn't work-- here it does.

I originally drew panel one's characters larger and shrunk them down when I went to ink. Panel two was drawn smaller and enlarged. Panel three's Lizzy was done at the same size I did panel one originally, but Lyn was drawn at the size she appears in the comic. Tons on changes make this look silly. And no, I didn't put nipples on Lyn for panel two... it was always supposed to have the censor bar, so it wont be uncensored for a book or anything.
