Even up to the inking stage I was fighting with Drew's look. I knew I wanted him to have cut "his" hair, but it just wasn't feeling right.

Zombies at the Altar - part 26

I know there's a little jump from the last story strip to this one, but I wanted it to be the next day and we'll see more of George's last conversation spring up as we progress.

In addition to the comic convention, not a convention for selling things-- the other definition, of having the person who talks first appear on the left of a panel... I thought it would be fitting that George isn't accustomed to his new gear so he's instinctively gone to open the door for Zoey even though he won't be a...

I only changed up George's expression for his panel one and three, so he only got a head redraw.

Also I did a recolor of the sketch layer during the course of sketching so everything ended up the same blue, but I know I sketched in browns and reds too... but they were lost in a fill.

 I don't know if it's a trope of mine or I just gravitate to starting longform smut stories off in elevators ... at least all of the sexy times happen in the elevator this time.

Page two will begin the nudity.

I had the hardest time getting into the drawing mode yesterday...

But I wanted to put up a strip so I powered through.

It's super stupid, but my favorite part of this strip is that since Lizzy and Lyn aren't home George has stolen their robe and mugs.

With this being a draw over for call backs, I had a fairly easy time. I did end up just doing Jack's eyes at the ink stage and a full on copy paste for most of Jules in panel two.

Hubris

Last week I did the strip Prognostication so when it snowed a little here I thought of doing a follow up... then it dropped over two feet of snow in Montreal and I decided I had to do a follow up.

I did a snow version of the background and a full on copy/paste for Jack and Jules-- with adding Winter gear on them to make the call back.

Then I spent way too long on the groundhog for panel three....

Zombies at the Altar - part 24

I wanted to include to random people on the street for the interviews so rather than just design them from scratch, I used some designs based on commissioned art I did for readers last year.

When I had commissions open for a short period of time last year, they're currently closed, I had done a few head shot/avatars for readers in the style of Zombie Roomie.

Now they're actually in the world of ZR!

Since I'm still not 100% I wanted to make sure I had a composition that wasn't going to take a lot out of me, so I had the drawing for panel one repeat in the following panels but I adjusted some head movements and their expressions.

I felt we needed a catch up strip that explained where everyone else was.

I also wanted to have George looking out for the other characters. Without John, he's having to adjust to a different role in the the loft. That will be something that comes up more as we go along.

Plus the bit with Mini and Sin was silly... so I made a strip.

Strips emailed?

I just read an article about how some comics add an e-mail the strip as a Patreon reward. This way you know when the comic is updated and it also gives you an ad free experience.

The majority of folks in this campaign already get the Patreon post for HD versions of the strip ($5+) so I'm not sure how well a regular or SD version would be welcomed.

That's the only reason I could see a secondary list instead of posting a Patrons only might be beneficial.

That turned out to be Max.

I planned on drawing Max a few weeks ago, when I did the Elsa pin-up, but the drawing I sketched was wrong for her body type.
