Excuses, excuses.

Yo.

Just wanted to update everybody--Ted and I were kind of scrambling to make the Rann-Thanagar War video happen for Sunday. On top of me being out of town the last week or so, the new BTAC issue coming out, our streams, various random other things coming up...it just isn't gonna happen this week.

So, we'll be putting out the final "part" of our Dan Riba interview this Sunday instead! If you haven't caught the first two chunks, here's the link to our Interviews playlist where you can watch 'em. It was tons of fun talking with Dan and getting to see some REALLY cool behind-the-scenes stuff nobody else but him even has.

Plan is to put out the Rann-Thanagar War video on 9/13 (between the next 2 BTAC breakdowns), so thank you all for your patience. This new comic is really messin' with my editing schedule mojo...

As soon as that video's out, I'll do my best to post the next voting poll for October's video.

P.S. Look out for more info soon about our 24-hour livestream happening on our Twitch! Dan Riba will be joining us for AT LEAST an hour (the dude has a lot to say), along with tons of other awesome special guests. You won't wanna miss it.

Voted Video Moving to June

Howdy, everybody!

Just wanted to pop in real quick to let you all know that we're shuffling around our video schedule a bit. Because of the "Batman: the Adventures Continue" comic moving to Thursday releases, we don't have enough time to get a not-rushed-as-hell video out by the following Sunday (3 days later). So, we've decided to move BTAC videos to the Wednesdays following issue releases.

This leaves those BTAC weeks' Sundays "open" now, however. So we're going to start putting out "smaller" videos on those empty Sunday slots as a sort of compromise, to keep the algorithm AND YOU happy!

As a sneak peek, this coming Sunday will be an opinion piece from me (James) on the Snyder Cut news, followed by our BTAC #4 breakdown on Wednesday.

The next Sunday (5/31) we'll be putting out a video on Stargirl, in an attempt to stay topical (and since I wrote a script for it months ago) rather than pushing it even further away from the CW show's premiere.

All of this gibberish boils down to: there aren't enough remaining Sundays in May for the "Unproduced BTAS Episodes" video that you voted for a couple weeks ago. It's also such a hefty video that we've decided to split it into [at least] 2 parts.

We will be putting out part 1 at the end of June, where that month's "you voted for this" video would normally fall, followed by part 2 a couple weeks later near the beginning of July.

So in addition to being an update on the calendar, this post is also a "please don't hate us for delaying the video you paid to vote for" message! We had to be as smart as possible about everything, and there just aren't enough weekends in a month, slag it!

Thank for everything you do, all the time, like always. BTAC is a headache for us over here, but a very exciting headache. I've never been so happy to have a headache.

James

P.S. I'll also be posting something similar to this on our Community tab on YouTube, but you get it first, and more detailed, Because You're Worth It.

The adventures continue 24 hours later now...

Hey, folks!

I figured I’d let you in on a bit of behind-the-scenes-ness, here.

Ted and Mattie and I (James) have been discussing the tweet you see above. “Batman: the Adventures Continue” will now be consistently released...on Thursdays. A day later than it was releasing before.

Already, we’ve been struggling to just BARELY get a video out by Sunday (earlier if possible for you all), so this push is going to be quite literally hell for me, but we’re determined to make it work.

That being said, it’s unlikely I will have the video done early in any way, when we do one for new BTAC issues.

Normally, the three of us are up until midnight Tuesday night, we read the comic, we chat about it, I make a big bullet point list of items to cover, I go to sleep. Next day (Wednesday), we approve the list and I write a script, which is then hopefully approved and ready for me to film by Thursday morning. Then I spend all of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday editing non-stop.

Now, with one fewer day, I’ll have to have a SCRIPT done the same night the comic comes out. Meaning I’ll be a nocturnal boi and probably send a script around 5am and finally go to sleep.

Long story short, it’ll be a race to the finish for each new issue now, but we all agree it’s best to get it out the Sunday right after it releases, versus another full week, for various reasons.

We SUPER appreciate your patience and understanding with this, and we can’t be thankful enough to ALL of you for your continued support no matter what video we make.

Love you all,

James
