Hello one and all,
Hope everything's all good with you. The world has become an even more frightening place in recent weeks, so I really hope you're all keeping yourselves buoyant in any way you can.
Come rain or shine we'll be here to cram as many willy jokes into the podcast as possible. Talking of cramming, we're trying to double-up our recording sessions so we can store up a little backlog of episodes to release over April, which is when I (Billybob) will hopefully be sunning ...

Hello-hello-hello, welcome to the show!
It’s been a while since our last catch-up so let’s give you the skinny on what’s been going down in Groovetown!
Firstly, thanks for the response to our last couple of episodes, the 2021 RoDies and our ‘Warriors of the Deep’ review/burial. The RoDies was a massive departure for RoD and I think it went really well. Can’t wait to do it again next year! And ‘Warriors’ felt like an old fashioned rant-along so...

It’s a New Year, so let’s dredge up the past and reflect on it in the healthiest way possible - grumbling resentment and disappointment.
We have compiled every episode we have reviewed for the podcast so far. Simply, we just want you to vote for your favourite. We’ll then present the results as a ranking from most popular to least.

Happy Holidays to you all!
It’s that time of the year. The telly is awful, the traffic is getting worse and hundreds of business are in the middle of their sudden “Mulled Wine” boom.
It’s also time for our regular festive episode, but this time, we’ve gone all out. Tinsel, reindeer antlers, Xmas sweaters and plenty of moaning.
Audio version drops at 7am on Thursday. Video version available from 5pm same day!
See you...

Howdy y'all!
It's almost the end of the year. How about that, eh? I, for one, am exhausted. Genuinely. Between Christmas plans, New Years plans, work, socialising and Doctor Who I'm damn near dead.
One thing that doesn't get me all tense and quick to moan is the Review of Death. I'm stunned at how little it takes out of me. It's always up there in my top ten list of priorities all the time. Whether it's social media posts, avidly refreshing the podca...

Hey everyone!
Just thought I’d share our projected plan for the rest of RoD in 2021!
Next week’s Doctor Who Flux review will most likely come out on Thursday morning, due to work/real-life commitments. Normal service should resume for the last two episodes of the series. The week after Flux’s conclusion, we’ll release the RoD Live review of ‘The Day of the Doctor’ recorded at Pandorica 2021 and the year will wrap up with our Chri...

Hey folks!
Hope you're all well - apologies for the lack of updates over the last fortnight; between Doctor Who: Flux kicking off (and being f'king brilliant) and my current production starting to get busier and more hectic, I haven't had the chance to sit down do this!
Anyway, here's some BTS from the recording of 'The Halloween Apocalypse' review. FYI, TJ who we're speaking to off-camera is responsible for ingesting the audio portion of the podcast...

Hey everyone! Fancied recording a video update today rather than typing everything out! 😂
Enjoy Flux!

Here’s tomorrow’s episode folks! Hope you enjoy. We go on a full-blooded, old-school Review of Death rant about the Moffat era in this one. 😂
Provisional plan this week is to reshoot the first episode of our Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality gameplay vid which will include some more in-depth thoughts ahead of Flux’s debut on Sunday!
From there, RoD’s schedule will most likely change for the broadcast of Series 13. We’ll work it ou...

The Boys Are Back In Town!
The Review of Death will be attending their first convention since January 2020 this November for Fantom Events’ Pandorica 2021 in Bristol.
We’ll be tackling the first ever multi-Doctor story, ‘The Three Doctors’, a choice legitimately dictated by the logo and poster I did for the live show!
I always try to draw on local influences for our live event graphics (like for the cancelled VworpCon 2020 poster and ...

Hello all!
It’s the start of a new week so here’s what’s been happening in the world of RoD.
Salutations girls and boys (and hermaphrodite hexapods)!
TWO RODS IN ONE WEEK?! You have to pay a lot of money for that kind of service in most countries.
Please enjoy our chat with two key members of the team behind Maze Theory's brand new Doctor Who console game, Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality - writer Gavin Collinson and composer Richard Wilkinson! It was super fun and has defo got us thinking about future interviewees. One plan at the moment is ...

Evening dorks!
Enjoy tomorrow’s brand new episode of RoD where we discuss the Return of RTD in more detail and review the latest animated reconstruction from BBC Studios, ‘The Evil of the Daleks’!
Obviously, this was recorded before the official Doctor Who socials went dark and before the air date and Flux reveals, so no coverage of that in this episode, but perhaps we can sneak something on Tuesday during our interview session with th...

Hello folks!
Hope you're all keeping well!
I've been as sick as a dog for the last few days, so I've been resting up and marathoning the Craig era movies ahead of my second viewing of No Time To Die (no spoilers, but I had a blast watching it and I think it fundamentally changes the franchise in a really interesting way!).
As a result, I haven't had the time to cut together the planned Patreon exclusive this week, but here's a wee sl...

Happy Sunday folks!
Please enjoy your early access to episode four! We rushed together an impromptu Zoom recording sesh so we could at least mention RTD 2.0 in passing. We’ll delve into everything in more detail in episode five, which will now be a look at the latest BBC Studios’ animated reconstruction of ‘Evil of the Daleks’!

When we lost the last ten minutes of clear, warm, expensive audio that the gorgeous Shure SM7B produced for the majority of The Review of Death Podcast episode two, 'The Twin Dilemma', we were a bit bummed. Mainly because it meant we lost the original Patreon ad read (because we couldn't bring ourselves to promote the Patreon with audio that bad). So here it is for you lovely lot!

Alright dudes? Here’s what’s going down in Groovetown!
This Wednesday we’ll be recording episode four, ‘The Space Pirates’! Matt is around halfway through his rewatch and I’m yet to start (😬). I always leave it late, no idea why! Maybe I have a natural aversion to watching rubbish Doctor Who? 😅
After that, we’re in a bit of a no-man’s-land regarding Series 13. It’s like a Schrödinger thing; the trailer is both imminent and no...

Happy Saturday everyone!
Thank you to the founding members of the Review of Death Patreon. We are blown away by your support and generosity. We didn’t expect this level of backing so early on! 😂
We hope you’ve enjoyed the first three episodes of the new show! We’ve had so much fun making them and watching the reaction and reading the feedback. It has been in the works for YEARS so to finally get the ball rolling on the podcast is really gratifying. W...
