Oi.

Finalized the style.... finally! Yeah yeah it's going to be kinda inconsistent (since consistency will happen for me over time/ experience) buuuuut it's going to be within a certain range.  What comes immediately after is editing the four pages to fall more in line with each other and then add the text / etc.

Udemy is a site that hosts online learning courses for a fee and right now they are having a $10 deal on many (all?) courses. Sure, there are tutorials and youtube videos all over the place but curation is really important when it comes to self teaching resources.

Although I have some flash knowledge it's severely limited to motion/ shape tweens when it comes to animation and.... well... the flash engine when it comes to things like visual novels...

Oh my god I'm so sorry. I've been so caught up in the festivities (Happy new year! ) and drama that I never got a chance to upload this.

Uploaded the rar file as an attachment! By the way my PSDs are supported best by older versions of photoshop (5.5 confirmed) and Sai. Newer versions of photoshop defaults a special option in the linear add/ Luminance layer that changes the behavior of said layers so you have to go into layer options and check "transparency shapes layer" in each ins...

Yo! This is why character studies and ref sheets are a thing. I feel like the design and portrayal are way more consistent in this page than what I have done so far. I'm going to go back and redo the first few pages to reflect the changes made here which you will see in the final, fully worded/ polished pages...

I think this captures what I wanted for her as a character the most. Gonna have to do an eye/ expression ref sheet for myself but for now I'm almost satisfied with what I have.

I do like it as is buuuuuuut the colors are kind of close to Mik's which by itself wouldn't have been an issue if not for the fact that she and Mik will be side by side in a comi...

The Mik one was a lost sketch I did earlier this year that was updated/ fixed. Not sure if I ever uploaded but it's one I think I should finish!

The Aria (rabbit) one came about after in part by my attempt to develop a simpler style for the pixel style I intend on using with the designs for that specific story. I'm still not 100% on the hair but I'm getting close to finding something that works!

Sans (skeleton) and Ajna (girl with axe) I did because well... I like indie game...

No update for the comic this month. I mean I have worked on more pages - but it's not in a presentable form right now since I decided to take it a bit more seriously and do some rewrites. It's not just a short cheesecake comic any more. It's actually going to lean into something longer in form now. I might have to do some concept art/ personal notes for layouts/ settings/ characters and etc instead of winging it page by page which is what is holding me back from just showing you the update right...

Gonna redo that renamon creature thing into an original design. Im really digging  the glossy sea slug vibe and since I just discovered sea bunnies were a thing so i might take it further and make a whole set!

I also wanted to do some gratuitous pink ribbon pics in time for breast cancer awareness month but then I realized I'm not limited to only october! What I am currently limited on is time though so I have to priorit...

Mik comic wip

It was more of a test of time/style/quality really. Seems doable but I'm not totally satisfied. Been kind of distracted though... in the last few weeks I've been pretty sickly. Again it's one of those cases when it's so ridiculous even I wouldn't believe it so I haven't been talking about it. I'm better now but it's still profoundly frustrating. Remember I'm kind of an oddball and my ability to address the public apparently hinges on how well I feel and I haven't spoken to friends or logged into...

Personal ref for short comic Im currently working on

Stuff like this is not really meant to be seen - now you get to see my shitty anatomy/ feet in action - hah!

But yeah this is a personal breakdown o a costume I wanted her to wear broken up into easily readable sections so that I can remember the particular shapes and cuts of the cloth.

I'm probably going to add a breakdown of the hair to my personal refs so that it stays consistent in various angles but yeah - why not show you what I'm currently working on!

Wallpaper WIP

Do I draw Mik too much? Sorry if I do. What can I say? I love drawing her. I'm open to suggestions though!

It's a lot slower this time and I tried to cut out a lot of the pauses. I did upload it at double the FPS though so if you want to slow it down to real time I think the HTML5 player in Chrome allows you to do that. I'll be posting...

Right now SmithMicro is having a 58% discount for MS5 and MS5 EX that ends on the 29th. I'm not endorsing it.. yet. I'm just letting you know if by chance anyone is interested!

Both as a tablet PC enthusiast and an illustrator in general I've had people suggesting Manga Studio 5/Clip Studio Paint to me as an updated alternative to Sai for years. Not sure what the story is, apparently they are the same program but w/e I just bought it since I saw the an ad for the regular version for $1...
