Warmup 080216

Quick 30 min "speedpainting" and general messing around in photoshop. Kind of just wanted to play with these colors  and came up with a sort of mermaid serpent snake thing. :p 

Photoshop is something that I haven't spent a lot of time actually painting in, though I do use it daily for editing. I'm going to try and make more of an effort to do little paintings in it and get more comfortable with the brushes. I'll be sure to share the brushes I like here once I figure all that out! :)<...

Pokemon Kanto Starters - Lineart for coloring!

I'm planning to make these guys into stickers, and I MAY do a very limited run of double sided charms (probably only about 5 of each)

I managed to record/stream myself painting 2 of these, and I'll post the videos soon. :) I might do a voice over for one of them if I have time and try to explain how I painted them.

I've attached the Lineart for these 3 cuties to this post, so feel free to print them out or color them digitally. I'll have the PSD file for these available soon as well.

Pokemon Doodles!

Thinking up some ideas for more stickers and charms in the future. :) I used to draw Pokemon all the time back in the late 90s, and I'm so happy Pokemon Go has renewed my love for them! I'd like to do a Pikachu and some Eeveelutions too, but I'm just going to focus on the 3 original started for right now. 

I've always wanted to do a Sailor Moon painting, so I'm going to try and turn this into a print for this month. ^^

I've tried doing SailorMoon related prints in the past, but I feel they were never quite good enough. Time to try again though! I'll probably do some thumbnailing and try out different poses for this one, but this is the main idea I'd like to go with.

Pokedoodle warmup pt2!

Decided to paint over the sketch, and turned it into a video for you all! I got a bit bored with it towards the end, so its not very refined. :) Very quick speedpaint.

I'll have the long, unedited version in July's file pack.

Going to be finishing this up tonight - then off to work on badges!

Group 2 Badge sketches!

Apologies for the lack of updates guys! It feels like last year I had an easier time of getting badges out quickly. Probably because last year I was able to take time off from my day job to focus on art.. and not so much this time around. Especially since I need to save up for Blizzcon!

WIP / Sketch dump!

Apologies for the lack of art updates in a while - I'll admit I've been feeling a little burnt out and even a bit discouraged by various things lately.

This happens quite often and I'm not alone, I know a lot of artists feel the same way sometimes. Instead of pushing through, I tend to just work on non-art related things. I've mostly been spending my time trying not to stress about art and instead focusing on the things I CAN do, like organizing things or working on my Etsy.

Also as a slight update, all the Patreon boxes and letters should be sent out next week! The final remaining items arrived today so I'll be taking time to make the packaging and taking photos of it all this week as well as boxing everything up! :)

This month was a little light due to IRL stuff and badge work, so I apologise! I threw in a couple wallpapers (as well as some phone sized ones) and another lineart for coloring this round.

June update!

Hey guys! It looks like May pledges are in the middle of processing -  so once that's done I'll be able to send out the digital rewards!

As I've mentioned before, this month was a little light due to Badge season - I'm afraid it will probably continue to be a bit light this summer but I'll try to upload more WIPs and timelapses when I can. Badge Progression!

Just about done with the first badge of the season! :) I'm currently working on the actual frame to go with it, as they ordered a custom one. Decided to upload a gif for you guys, as this one went through a few iterations as I changed the face several times to get it how I wanted it. 

Badge sketches Group 1!

Some very messy badge sketches! They haven't really been approved yet - but I'll be emailing them off to people over the course of the day today. :) Some things may change a lot on these, but I'm excited to start painting them! I love doing portraits.
