Alcide the Vampire: Part two (rough draft)

I was found in Alcide’s chamber, no one knew I went to see the others again. Renata came and fetched me, taking me away from the resting Alcide and back to my own room. She took care of the chipped polish, removing the old and putting on a fresh new layer lacquer.

“Look at this.” She took out a nail file and worked on my nails, filing them down to match the broken one. “What did you do to make this happen?”

“Probably happened when Alcide found me yesterday,” I mutter...

There are so many legends and myths to go along with a full moon, you would almost believe it was something truly magic. And while I do love a moonlight night, a run through a valley so ethereal it could make you cry; it’s not what holds the power most of the time. It’s when the moon is new that you have to watch out for truly otherworldly things. When the world is blanketed in no light, swallowed up by darkness, that is when the worl...

Alcide the Vampire: Part One (rough draft)

I wish I was like the others. This thought comes to me as I stare out towards the foot of my bed. I would like to dream forever as the others do, to sleep perchance to wake. I remove myself from bed, setting my feet down upon the cold floor. There are no windows to speak of here, but they place curtains upon the wall as if to mimic one.

I am not alone long, I am never alone long. My attendants are many, but they are more like guards. They assure I look my best, that I stay in place, tha...

The cafeteria was fixed, so you were now back to your usual morning routine. It was busier now than before, thanks in part to the staff and students missing how easy it was. It was nice to have your favorite coffee again, and the smell of new construction reminded you of your dad just a bit.

“You’ve been spending a lot more time with Alfie now.” Keery smirked from over her cup of coffee.

“Yeah? You spend a lot of time ...

Ben the Werewolf: Part Three (rough draft)

The phone call came in the middle of a deep sleep. When you answered it, you were barely awake, in fact you almost fell half asleep again when you hung up. But it finally clicked, and now, here you were in the waiting room of the hospital.

“Here.” ben came up beside you, extending out a cup of coffee.

You sighed with relief, grabbing the cup with both hands. “Thank you.”

Ben took the seat beside you, stretching out to show off his Pokemon pajama pants. “Nothing to ...

“I seriously can’t get this thing to work,” you said to Keery over the phone. You struggled with the wrench, trying to adjust the radiator heater in your apartment. “This worked last year.”

Keery had this certain tone to her laugh. “Why don’t you call Alfie? I’m sure he’d love to come and rescue you from that old, cold apartment.”

You pouted. “I mean, I guess I could. I just don’t know what stage of the...

Kerwyn the Fae (rough draft)

There was a castle north of your village perched upon the rockiest cliff of the mountain. It had been there as long as you could remember, as long as anyone could remember really. It sat up there as a decaying statue. No one had been in or out in decades, only birds flew back and forth, and only thorns grew around it.

“Stop staring! We’ve got chores to do!” Your sister snapped at you.

“Right,” you gasped. You followed along after her, taking one last glance at the castle...

The campus cafeteria usually opened early every morning, it was one of the things you knew you could rely on. You enjoyed the coffee when it was fresh, and they had these interesting little pastries you would get along with whatever breakfast sandwich was being served. Today, you had hoped they would make something with bacon, perhaps even use that rare bit of gruyère that came into stock once in a blue moon.

Instead, as you rounde...

Art the Orc (rough draft)

The visage of the old place looked like it had once been a gas station. There was one of those big metal awnings and signs that gas pumps had once been outside. But everything else looked like the art supply store it was. The window was painted, done up with flowers and a flourishing font, but it hadn’t been touched in ages and was chipping and scrapped away.

The old place had seen better days, you could tell. But you were excited to tackle such a special project with your own two han...

Nadione the Gemling: Part Two (complete)

Male Reader (cis) x Female Monster (technically nonbinary)

The following day I was working on Nadione’s box. I had taken off most of my clothes, as it was getting hot and exhaustive, brushing and scrubbing between each stone, rinsing, polishing, washing everything inside was exhaustive.

Nadione sat nearby, watching me as I cleaned what was essentially her home. She looked tense, but she wasn’t saying anything.

I stepped out at one point, wiping my brow and sighi...

Update: I’m home!

I just got home and I am getting settled at my parents place.

All along we thought my issues was just the fibroids, but my doctor was in for a surprise. It turns out my right ovary was twister and it weighed over three pounds! He had to get his nurse with the smallest hands to get it out of me. It’s probably the most wild thing I’ve seen. No one ever caught it because of the softball sized fibroid, so it was a shock to everyone. The ovary was twisted about three times, accounting f...

Romarod the Orc (rough draft)

Elderbay was once a town just outside of Obresh, but now it is a part of Obresh. The town had been taken over after the port had failed and the town had fallen to mostly ruin. It was easy for the leaders of Obresh to take over, there wasn’t really anybody putting up a fight over it. They came in and cleaned up the place, but Elderbay had always been known for its sleaze and probably always would be. Now known as Obreshbay (or Obree Bay due to dialect) it served as a main spot for fishing. W...

From our position I can see the caravan filing away from the mine. The box we’re after is in the very middle. The iron chamber is so heavy it requires special wheels to hold it and only oxen are able to pull it.

“This Gemling has quite a few guards,” my companion Arcus murmured.

I lowered my spyglass. “Not really. Just seems that way. They are crowding around the box pretty heavily. That’s ne...

Jasper the Bugbear: Part Two (rough draft)

His hand squeezed mine back. “I am forgetting something at this moment, Cara.”

I furrowed my brow and tilted my head up to him in confusion.“Which is?”

“How to be a gentleman. I almost bent down and kissed you like the ruffian I once was,” he said with a laugh.

My stomach knotted up, not in a bad way, but one of expectancy. “You could ask me, then forget how to be a gentleman.” The words poured from me, I didn’t mean to be so blunt.

Waiting for a package to come into the mail was exciting. It was all the joy of a child on Christmas eve, peering out their window in hopes that Santa Claus would appear. It was more like the adult version, in the fact you can have this every day if you wanted to. Keeping tabs on tracking, watching out the window as something is left on your stoop, it’s the boost you need to get through the day sometimes. Or at least it had been until y...
