A token for the missed week

As patrons I'd imagine most of you keep a pretty watchful eye on all the NTO feeds and have doubtless already seen the post (http://www.nexttownover.net/?p=2045) explaining the lack of an update last weekend. Although I can't say for a certainty if I'll be back at it this week, it is a definite maybe and I'm pretty bolstered by all the support expressed by NTO readers on the site, via email, and via Twitter. In the ...

Yes! First Milestone Reached!

Whoa! $100 reached! Thanks so much, you guys. It's super late here, and I need to get to bed, but I have some pretty big, un-comic-related but ultimately comic-affecting news I need to share real soon, but in the meantime, the footer ad is GONE (excellent!), the page possibly loads a millisecond faster because of this (yes!), and you need to start thinking about what you want for your tutorial, etc., of choice (whee!). I will probably stick up some kind of poll but meanwhile feel free to start t...

Easter Egg Unfound

It seems sort of gauche or something to point out your own Easter Eggs, but no one was finding this and you guys are my special friends.

Worldbuilding Extra #1: Vexillography Unseen

Once again I've reshuffled and streamlined the goals a little, among other things adding the Traildust book to the $250 goal. Thanks for your patience as I find my legs with this thing, and enjoy this little patron-only morsel as thanks (again, you may want to download the attached version.)

Breakdown: Lookback, page 1

A reverse-engineered walkthrough of the very first page of NTO (I didn't actually record the stages of drawing this; I just abused my many-layered Photoshop file). I hope to keep doing these, with varying degrees of shop talk and historical context (in terms of my life, I mean; what shirt I was wearing, etc.) ... although I kind of doubt I'll do every single page. So by all means, let me know if there's a particular page you'd like to see. I may share this first one with non-Patrons, just so the...

Hey guys! I've made a few changes to the campaign -- reward tiers, milestones & more. I've also got a patron-exclusive sketchbook in the works, but finding time to curate it has been a challenge. I'll keep you apprised! Thanks again for your contribution & all the best, Erin

Redridge Express Page 11 - A Day Early!

Though this isn't an advertised perk for patrons and certainly not one I can consistently guarantee, when the planets align and allow for it I'll be sharing pages early with Patreon contributors. This weekend, enjoy tomorrow's page today. Thanks, guys!

Postcards?

Great start! Thanks so much, early adopters. As a [very minor] additional carrot I've added postcards to all the milestone goals: to wit, whenever we hit one all current patrons will get a postcard in the mail. Hopefully these will feature original art, and obviously I'll be signing them all. This has the added bonus of encouraging early and ongoing support to collect them all, since, for example, anyone pledging after we've already hit the $100 goal won't get that first postcard, and anyone dro...

Testing the waters

No idea how many folks are into the Patreon thing yet so this is all pretty experimental. If there's anything you'd really like to see from the campaign I'd love to hear it & try to make it happen. Meanwhile, thanks for being an early adopter!
