28 - Monsters with Cute Faces

Hildelith opened her eyes after logging into the game to find the five brats snoozing away without a care in the universe on her body. All of them turning and kicking at each other like a dream mortal combat. Unlike their elder brother they four were yet to start leveling and growing fast.

She had the feeling that their growth was normal without any external interference. Hildelith wondered how her last-minute ideas and decisions would effect them, as she considered them. Tora and Fre...

Helen's POV

The pod hissed as it shut behind me. My skin was already dry from the liquid I was usually submerged in as I walked to my bathroom and took a quick shower. I put on some clothes and stared at the time. It was almost close to nine in the morning.

'I guess all that time looking through the templates, creating some monsters, and talking with U.I. took more time'. I needed food and sleep.

I bounded out of my room and down the stairs...

Logging out to eat and freshen up Helen barely spent less than two hours outside the game before leaping back in.

Her excited self barely realized how she'd kept walking around the house while not reacting drastically to Mr. Furrow's presence. Something the man and his wife didn't try to point out. Best to let her subconscious move things on faster if possible.

The pull in her mind as she got logged into the game and tossed into her avatar made a smile bloom across her face.

The shop changed many things for Hilde.

What was the plan? Play the game, have fun, and deal with her trauma.

Plan ditched.

Now Hilde was not getting competitive or anything like that. No. The allure of games was to be the best, the strongest, and the highest in level or skill. Any player who said otherwise was either lying to his teeth or had strong priorities. Hildelith didn't care about it though. The top wasn't a place to be ignored. Getting a chance to reach there w...

Forging was one thing. Another thing was staying focused while an annoyed U.I. kept breathing down my neck. Especially one you know has about a thousand reasons to kill you. But sadly can't.

That was me. Barely able to get a seed of concentration as I unraveled the mystery that was world birth.

What had the devs hidden in this game? With the boy behind me, I was certainly more than sure that this game was worth every ounce of my minute.

Plus with him around I could get ac...

Keller drove his silent electric-powered BHD-12 a fully automated cruiser that was one of the sleeker designs released that year. It came with an automated noise canceller, tinted glass, a heat regulator rather than an Air-conditioning unit, solar power engines, and an auto drive.

In contrast to the silence of both his car engine and the interior Keller's mind was in turmoil. The wind caressed his face and fluttered his wavy blonde locks.

Even if Carmella had refused to give hi...

There were four species in the nest each working together to hound me. Whether they aimed to halt my progress to the center of the room and reach that glowing stuff or they just saw food and went ballistic, none of the options was acceptable to me.

The first species was truly the most annoying of the lot. Weak yet the most deadly. Body-wise it looked just like the original Unknown, yet the similarities ended there. With one eye below its...

It was official. I would kill those devs if I ever met them. I felt a blooming hatred for those white-cloaked men already.

Wait those were doctors. No, scientists also wore white coats.

"Ah screw the movies". Yelling I drew my sword free of my belt, its bright blue glare pushing the darkness away as I stomped to the hole like an eight-year-old with a primal vengeance.

Halting there I stared down and all my anger evapora...

I nodded at the loot I managed to get from the fight with the Unknown while walking through the still-thick night of the lost world. Well, there wasn't exactly any light. I realized for some reason that the light of Origin's suns was unable to permeate into this place.

Scourge had shown the truth of the Unknown, Judgement had taken her right to judge away and now Intervention had set her into a conundrum where she had to put the Unknown in place by force. All while refraining from killing any of the Unknown anymore.

'I should stop calling them the Unknown, but till when I find an accurate name I'm stuck with that'. She leaped into the air avoiding the stream of bright sickly green flames.

'Best to keep avoiding those, keep Molliwag from physic...

This was a plot hole, a huge one. It had to be. The devs had made it clear that the Creators could only create the administrators first before any other race. Only five of them for that matter.

Hilde frowned while contemplating carefully'. 'I made Zeus before I made the other four. But that's because the Divine Beast slot opened after I made Haero. Right?'. Thinking of it now Hildelith realized that neither she nor the other Creator players had checked if there were any open slots apa...

Blood splashed down on the black soil of the lost world. The golden ichor dripping from fair skin seeped into the ground hurriedly in an attempt to save its eroded soul if it was possible. Hildelith knew it wasn't.

The soil situation was as bad as her current one.

The situation was very bad. 'Just as bad as it had been when I was ignorant'. She frowned.

Hildelith felt pain. It was a very brave move on the dev's part to add such a receptor to the game. While there must have been a setting for it she had the feeling that there might be none. After all the devs weren't doing things normally. Fortunately, the pain wasn't enough to make her focus slip. Of course, the fact didn't stop her from cursing at the devs for such a realistic pain sensation.

12 - Geared up for Origin

I found a lot of things acceptable when trying to build my world. One was that I could descend into a planet in my full form only before it was complete. After completion, only an incarnation of me could ever reach its surface lest my planet get ripped apart.

Next were the rewards and things I had received when logging in. I had barely checked them all out before and how they affected me but now as I appraised them thoroughly I couldn't help but appreciate once more the joy of gears a...

For the first time since she logged in Hildelith finally got the chance to admire her universe. Man was she stunned. From checking out notifications to rewards to Haero and Zeus she had not been able to look at it. But now she could and it was worth it.

Designing and then seeing it at work were two different things. She'd seen it from the Haif'jin, the Primordial Behemoth, and now her universe.

Hildelith had only two questions as she floated watching her baby revolve around less than half of what was once Sol.

After the meeting earlier that day, a lot of things I already deduced became clear to me. But at the same time, I kind of felt a sort of pressure from it too. If what the male speaker had said was true then we Creator Players were in charge of designing the world of Creation Online. Making the lores and myths. Creating legends or atleast paving the way for such legends.

I couldn't help but feel out of my league in it.

He lay there for quite a while before the strangest thing took place. Haero rose from his crib, not with his feet bu...

JAMESON'S POV

It was here, the grand day. Finally, I could set eyes on this strange player who had already changed the flow of the game just on the first day. To anyone, it might have seemed inconsequential but I knew differently. Many of the staff would wonder why the personal perk ...

Using the custom template was a very risky decision to make. Creating a Form that would be scattered and hard to figure out was a bad idea. Which was why I suspected that many would go for the local templates. Why ruin your universe with a bad idea when you could just use the local and call it a day?

While I could do that I suspected that it would be bad. Like some teachers in schools, I suspected the devs wanted us to be free and creative. The local template was just a trap to give us...

As I scrolled through the Creator Online forum and website, my eyes scanned the screen of my laptop. To my disappointment, there was no information about the game.

Just a picture. And a thirty-seconds video trailer. The picture was of a hand holding a planet. If that was to arouse curiosity then it worked. But it was the trailer that dug all the viewers into a pit of mystery and desire to know.

If anyone had doubts, the trailer compelled them to enter and satisfy their curiosity...
