Hey buddies guess what my guitar has been in the shop for over a month so I can't record hyrule castle until it's ready! So you get to listen to a crappy MIDI file of the latest arrangement. Lucky you!  

A big reason I chose to do this one is because I'm gearing up to have all of my stuff be on Spotify and I'm going back to collections of songs that are close to being EP worthy. Sonic is definitely one of them. A couple more bangers, some art, and I'll be good to go!

NOT EASY my dudes!  I only ended up doing the stuff before it goes into the guitar solo (how ironic) because I felt like that was sorta the most important and well known bits.  

Lots and lots of gnarly left hand chords and a few very awkward right hand patterns that I can still barely do.  Def not consistently.  Remember to not get discouraged listening to these final recordings as they are very much edited.  I do tiny chunks at a time until I get a section perf...

This one has been a long time coming! It honestly reminds me of Mario 2, just in the sense that it's so nuts and took me so long to get good enough to record. I will say though, that it really is pieces like these that push me as a guitar player. There's a lot I learned about my right hand while struggling to get this up to par.  It mostly has to do with the weakness of my technique when my ring finger gets involved. No fingerings or anything in this one yet and def want to work out an ending that's a little cooler than smashing a root chord, but this is pretty much done!  

Honestly, it's a tad tougher than I thought.  Some of the positions are a bit gnarly and there are some rough shifts, but nothing we can't handle, bros!

Undertale - Dating Start

Good lord my dudes this one was a doozy!  Took me much longer than I thought it would.  It's got such a fun zazzy vibe to it though that I've been humming it all month.  Actually that's probably because I've been pulling my hair out all month trying to be able to play the damn thing.  As you can hear from the recording it's a bit slow down from the original.  I hope that's not too blasphemous for the peeps who know this one!

Super Mario 64 - Piranha Plant Lullaby

So this was a bit of a last minute decision! I wanted to do magic house from Final Fantasy 6 but it was just too crazy and so I whipped this sucker up in a few hours. Hilarious how quick this one went compared to the Undertale song!  3 hours instead of 30 lool.
