Hey y'bastards. Today we have a bit of a lighter video (due to preparations for the next long series) where I get some work done on a background project and answer some questions. Hopefully I haven't answered too many of these in the past already. I tend to forget!
I've decided that for next week i'm going to do a bit of a drawing video and maybe i'll answer some questions while i'm at it. Going to try to work on this thing ^ up here because I really haven't touched it in a while.

Wow, I have really been enjoying drawing lately. I mean, normally I enjoy it a bunch, but fr some reason i'm just feeling extra inspired I guess. Really liked drawing these two and all the crazy fort visitors we saw in this ep. Had a pretty decent variety of subjects to draw which was nice!

Have you ever just wanted to get away from it all? Life in a dwarven fortress can be a bit overwhelming, after all. Today we're heading to a tiny settlement off in a forgotten forest. A settlement far smaller than those we're used to. Today's fortress is a small, peaceful place home to only a pair of dwarves. Is this a feasible way to live? Or are these dwarves doomed to fail! Let's find out!

I dunno what the heck's been going on lately. I think i've been having too much fun with the art, honestly. I just seem to be barely making the Thursday deadlines! S'all good though. Gonna put in the time and the video will be out at some point tomorrow (in my timezone) for sure.
Another thing is that the final bugfix to the current release is *very* likely to be coming out between now and saturday and with that, we can start out next long series. In light of this, I think next...
This week we're going to try out a sort of "hermit fortress". It's going to be small. Curious to see what we can do with just two dwarves.

Trying to get things prepared for the non short-fort series I'd like to do soon. Was going to keep some of this secret, but sometimes you fellas give me some great ideas and I figured some feedback would be nice, too.
First off, I still don't know for sure when we'll be starting this thing. Trying to wait for all the bugs to be picked out of the current release. According to Toady, it should be wrapping up around the end of the month.
Now then. Things i'd like to include...
Really been digging these small panels lately. Originally I thought it might make things a bit easier on my end, but it hasn't really been the case. That's fine though. They serve a good purpose in helping to convey smaller subjects while not blocking up the screen and I think i'll be using them alongside full-panel pics from now on.

Here's another bug-fix release, ranging into some older issues as well. There's been some work on the raid crash/corruption problem, though I suspect that is ongoing - hopefully the frequency is lessened. I've also done a few quick changes to socializing and stress, but that's a longer project as well. Dwarves clump now in zones and taverns, which should help with the f...
Cory's patron pic is of a human ranger with a faithful fox companion. Was a fun chance to do a neat landscape and i'm fairly satisfied with the result. I always forget how difficult it is to draw humans until I have to :p

Phew boy. I dunno about this one. Maybe it's that i've just been doing *too* much editing on these last few or something but this last video I think almost killed me. It was a fun experiment doing the smaller picture and it's something I may try again in future series, but it's always hard doing something new.
Trying to get myself together so I can continue on with next week's video. I might try to tone it down a little whatever I end up doing. I can't wait to start another long...
Well hello you bearded bastards! Today we'll be having a look at the new "divination" feature added to Dwarf Fortress just to see if the gods have anything interesting to say..or bestow! Not meant to be a very serious video, but can we avoid becoming very attached to our heroes? Time will tell!

In the past few hours one of my patrons has done this to me and there's no way to undo it as far as I can tell.
Ultimately, this won't hurt me at all and if there's no way to fix it, then there's no sense in complaining. Just a pretty lame choice for someone to make.

I've seen a few of those floating around. I've yet to see anyone talking about any villainous activity in their forts. Maybe them villains are sneakier than we thought?
