Back to work!

 Alrighty, we're home and it's back to work (which I actually missed quite a bit!)

Thanks for all your concerns and well-wishes on the posts I've put up this past week, and before you go thinking i'm some sort of crazy-ass workaholic, I should mention that EVERYTHING I posted this past week was all scheduled from before the vacation. I only mention this because so many folks seemed very concerned (which I am truly thankful for!)

Video delay!

 You guys have *probably* seen this already, but in case you haven't, me and Mrs. K are going on a little vacation next week and so August 1st's video is going to unfortunately be delayed till the 8th.

I do hate delaying my schedule, but I also care deeply for my family and mrs. K deserves this :)

Fangmountain Gallery #1

 Ha! What a fun fort. Believe it or not, I didn't go into this with the sole intention being to draw every single monster that came up from the depths, but that's kinda what it turned into!

Was glad I had a chance to draw a couple of DF classics like the voracious cave crawler, jabberer and gremlin. I don't often get a chance to draw those guys!

Anywho, gotta go to bed. I'm up *way* too late. Got a little carried away with the "Heads up" video that's up on YT right now. G...

The Bastion of Beasts #1

 Welcome to the rugged frontier, dwarves! Today we travel with a group of eccentric dwarves who seek to delve a new fortress beneath the foot of a great mountain! The catch? These addled dwarves wish to raise an army of beasts with which they will defend their new home from all threats! Insane? Yeah!

Short Forts to continue for now.

 Figured i'd try to flesh out my plans for the future a little bit just so things are as transparent as possible. I'm hoping to continue along with these short forts for a while longer and I really have no idea when i'll go back to a longer format. In the current version of DF, the stress system really makes managing long-term forts a giant hassle and I really don't want to have any more stories end in tantrum spirals.

King Trap Gallery #2

 Hey, remember when I was saying the pics were "oh so fun" last week? Well, they still are, but dammit the jungle backgrounds are getting difficult! Sooo many little details in there, it's wild!

Had a lot of fun drawing up the new goblin civilizations in this ep. Fun to think of how different "clans" would look. Gonna miss this fort, that's for sure.

I will tell ya though, it is so damn hard to keep dwarves happy in the current version of the game! Like, the dwarves in Ki...

  The king is hungry! With goblins attacking the fortress in full force, it's only a matter of time before our king has a "proper" meal! But will the dwarves regret riling up the nearby goblin civilizations? Probably!

 Yeah, so I guess the goblin civilization from the past episode were part of the..red army.

Um, not sure if anyone will believe it, but that was actually a coincidence. These hats are called "Budenovka" and I can't recall seeing them before. I don't know why I went with red as a color for the star. Just was the first one to come to mind I guess?

Kingtrap Gallery #1

 Oh wow, I mean, normally I do enjoy drawing, but this episode had a LOT of fun subject matter! The new dwarves, the jungle scenery, the goblins, beakdogs, animals and even a titan! Sheez!

Not sure if you folks realized, but i've been trying to give goblins/beakdogs/trolls different looks between civilizations. I tend to get bored doing the same old goblins again and again and plus I figure creatures from different parts of the world (or from different worlds altogether) probably...
