Guys, I just really want to thank you all for being around to help me this year. I never could have thought in my wildest dreams that i'd ever be given the chance to make Dwarf Fortress videos full time and it has only been possible with your help. Thank you so much, y'bearded bastards. Mrs. K and I would be nothing without ya.
Another interesting note, is that this will be my very first christmas where I don't have to go to work since I was 16. I am definitely feeling like a kid...

Woof, this was a tough one. Ended up doing wayy more pics than I had originally thought, so I went with sort of a stylized sort of dwarf just to make things a little easier.
Turns out that drawing dwarves with smaller feet and hands allow me to put them in different positions a lot easier. Usually when I draw dwarves it's difficult to show them running or..moving much..just b/c their hands/feet are so huge and their limbs are so short overall.

Figul. A humanoid composed of white jade. It has mandibles and it squirms and fidgets! Beware it's deadly spittle! It was a bit beat up when it was first encountered, hence the fractures :p

Just for the heck of it I asked Tarn Adams if he wanted me to draw anything as a "reverse crayon reward". He said he had a fondness for both gorlaks and hammerers. We'll have to wait and see what he thinks :)

It's kinda crazy(awful?) that i'm already getting attached to some of these dwarves. We haven't really known them for all that long after all!
I have a feeling that this series will be a *little* slower to get going than MK, but when things do finally start sliding, they're gonna move quickly!
Just really hoping we can touch on the whole vampire fort thing before things get outta hand!

With the Eternal Realms crumbling around them, will The Keeper of Bees ever be able to pull themselves together? Dwarven legends aren't made by the weak hearted! Has anyone found any fullproof methods to managing dwarven stress in the current version of DF? I'm talkin' lesser-known tricks here. I know to give the dwarves nice bedrooms, food, drinks, clothing etc and to make sure temples, libraries and taverns are around, But is there anything i'm missing? I've heard some folks claim that SOME dwarves cannot be unstressed! I'm just really hoping that's not really the case :p

Out in the swamps at the foot of the great eastern mountains lies a small fortress, Stetárgugash, Honeystoker. The dwarves who live there are modest, industrious and perhaps a bit too naive. The air that surrounds this brownstone fortress is unstill. Goblins rampage across the land while other, fiercer dangers lurk in the dark marsh. But little do they know..that the greatest threat..lies right beneath their noses...

Ac (Snamoz) the goblin WAS in fact a spy for the demon all along. When I first saw the rat, he was wearing a helmet bearing the parrots of The Torment of Witches (Seen below)
I was originally clued in when I saw him wearing it (He might actually *might* be a pretty BAD spy, lol)

Hey, y'bastards! Haven't done the whole sponsored dwarf thing in a while, so I figured what the heck. We'll be starting up a (hopefully) longer fort next week and I thought we'd get this ball rolling.
Now, I'm only going to be doing this gradually with just a few slots opening at a time. The fort is still pretty small.
