Monsterkiller Ep.8 - Dust to Dust

 There's a big, dusty bastard on the way. Will it's coming spell the end for the dwarves of Ushangvagush? Or will it fall like the many droves of forgotten, forgotten beasts that've perished so far outside our gates?! It's very likely you already know how it plays out...

 Just a progress pic of this big guy. I've always liked snapping turts and thought i'd use that as the inspiration for this un'. I'm a huge fan of the fact that it has "A pair of short horns" and "Olive green feathers". Just kinda seem to work out in my mind.

Reward Tier Testing

 Just a heads up. If you fellas see the reward tiers getting jumbled up over the next few days (weeks?) then it's b/c i'm just figuring out how to get the whole thing sorted out. You can see i've already changed the "Crundle" tier to the "Bearded Bastard" tier. Soon...soon...

Toady at the GDC

 Yep, probably old news at this point but thought i'd share Tarn's interview from The Game Developers Conference. Pretty interesting stuff in there about what he's done so far, the future of DF and some cool insigts into his thought process going forward.

 ...Also, he *might* mention a particular DF Youtuber around the 45 minute mark. Super goddamn exciting.

MK#6 Color Challenge

 As i've said, I really love the challenge of trying to give the dwarves personality in this fort. I really have learned a lot so far i'd say!

 We can see here one of our finest axedwarves,  Inod Nokimisan (in back) as well as the leader of the Brass Spikes, Monom Robekimush (Left side foreground) who is sparring with the dwarf who killed the leech forgotten beast last episode, Uvash Monomshameb (Right foreground).

Modded Creature Icons?

 Just for the hell of it,  I've been messing around with the idea of changing around the creature icons in the game. We can see here, some standard dwarves, a bunch of goblins and one human. You know you can change the icons of specific creature types fairly easily? I had no idea!

 I might just end up doing it in the future to make custom adventurer icons and junk, but I guess we'll see. Perhaps i'll have a go at changing around all the creature icons? Guess we'll see.

 I've been meaning for a while to go through and count exactly how many pics I've done for my DF vids so far. It'd be a big task but the number has to be more than 1000 at this point (which is insane, yes)

 Just to give you an idea, This is all the pics from the Monsterkiller series so far.  117 of em! Also, two of those are big, super-detailed ones so those count for extra, dammit!

 Ha! Just stumbled upon this old pic from quite a few months back. This was a copperhead snake man adventurer who, upon arriving in town, tried to grab a goblin's mace. 

The goblin punched the snake man to death shortly thereafter.

Happy Birthday, Bim!

 Yes, believe it or not, The first episode of The Hero of Balance came out one year ago today! 

 Man oh man have things changed since way back then, huh? I had about 11 pictures in Bim's first episode and I was totally overwhelmed by it. Today, that's nothin'!

 Hopefully we see even more interesting characters like Bim in 2018. I have a feeling we will ;)

Mrs. K's Coloring Challenge!

  Pictured, we see Obok the queen trying to catch some rest while being watched intently by one of the fort's dogs. Also shown, are Geshud, a Trapmaker and Muthkat, a Fishgrabber.

Father and son

 It wasn't mentioned in this last episode, but this picture shows "Venomblood" being held by his father, Likot. Likot is shown throughout the episode but this is the only time he had his helmet off.
