Elliwyn II: Revenge of the Elliwyn

Hey friends!! I'm working on this week's video, which is a new POV response featuring Na'Krasha getting treated by my healer Elliwyn! I had some spots where I really wanted to change Elli's replies to better suit what Na'Krasha was saying and doing, so I decided to film some new clips as Elli on a greenscreen, and then composite them into my original set.

Playa de los Muertos pt. 2

This second batch is just a few photos, but the way the surf splashed against all the different little rocks made for such cool motion in the background, I think these might be my favorites! I had to clone a bunch of big island mansions out of the hillside, haha, but it was worth it!

I'm gonna be honest with y'all, even though I got to shoot some really cool stuff last year for Jolly Sailor Bold, until now, I didn't really have any photos in costume that I really felt like a mermaid in....

Playa de los Muertos pt. 1

I have... I think four total photosets coming at you from my trip to Sayulita? Here's the first! This beach is called Playa de los Muertos (beach of the dead) because it's right by a cemetery! It seemed like the perfect location for a deadly mermaid — plus, get a load of this BIG FLAT ROCK! What a perfect mermaid-perching rock!

I may have gone a little overboard with capturing the surf splashing at a high shutter speed, but... damn, it looks so cool.

Josh absolutely killed it as my photographer on today’s golden hour shoot at a beautiful rocky beach that we found! I am incredibly amped about these photos (like, it’s midnight, and I’m about to start editing them) and cannot wait to share them with you!!

Unfortunately the salt water has just leeched all the color from my hair, so I might have to brush that up a little in post… I’m starting to look like a blonde who spent too long in a chlorinated pool 😅

Beach, please

I’ve been taking advantage of the presence of an OCEAN! Shooting in direct sunlight and extreme heat while trapped in a mermaid tail, shouting over the sound of the waves and trying to capture just enough of the surf (but not too much!!) has been an adventure, but we’re learning. 🌴 Photosets coming soon — for now I’m focusing on shooting!

Wanted to test out my new mermaid getup before we leave for our trip, so I borrowed my parents’ bathtub (ours has brown tile… eurgh) and reprises my bathtub mermaid shoot! This time with new contact lenses and a significantly more foreboding vibe.

I'm taking a trip!

I am an artist

Sometimes people ask me about my songwriting process. I'm working on a story-song for my mermaid EP and here is a prime example of why I don't have a good answer to that question 😂

(None of these are actual lyrics, it's just an outline for the story that I want the song to tell!)

Just a miscellaneous vampire

Put together this look for a sponsored post and had to grab some portraits, too! I've been experimenting with using my new little LED accent light as basically a colored gel. Side note, there are only so many faces you can make that show off fangs, haha!

Backstories don't have to be tragic to be interesting
