Gourmand Fat Tutorial

Short sweet Gourmand fat tutorial. I've been meaning to make this for a while because back then Gourmand kept being excluded in group drawings (and I think that's still a thing) and it kinda bothers me sometimes. One reason I theorize is that it's hard for some people to draw fat characters.

Nightcat Hero Design

As I've mentioned before, Nightcat shares a similar role to Gourmand being in the Shelter Hub. Nightcat's role is quite minor, as Rivulet doesn't know them much, but they did hear from Survivor that they enjoy talking about many things, stories and experiences especially.

This leads to Nightcat's role being a priestess scholar who gives the heroes forewarning of upcoming events and lore dumps, with their eyes set on overseers.

Gourmand Hero Design + Message to new Patrons

Gourmand's primary role in the comic is the supporter- the shopkeeper. Rivulet sees them as the backbone- a real helper who provides them and their friends a safe spot (so their shop takes place in The Shelter, which is a big hub that transcends space), as well as plenty of supplies.

They're not an active fighter, always situated in The Shelter alongside Nightcat, Ballcat and soon Hubert.

Oh- Ballcat is right here. They are Gourmand's little helper. Hero takes place before Rivulet...

Artificer Hero Design

In this setting, they are an Elemental who lost their children (who are also Elementals) to the greater evil, The Torrent- who took hostage of them. To preserve their lives, they obey their commands, even if it means working with scavengers.

I want them to look like a phoenix, like an antagonistic force from a Disney movie, but of course remain the Artificer design itself- just more stylistic and firey~
