I wanted to make a dark smokey trap song that was a a little more melodic and less pure rappy than usual. The game Control seemed to be the perfect subject matter to do this on. And so here it is!

I knew I wanted to do something abstract inspired by Death Stranding. When it got to the chorus I was quite stuck for a good idea. However I happened to have my arch nemesis The Stupendium staying over with me and when he heard my unfinished project he started singing "Baby in a backpaaaack". It doesn't fit the tone of the rest of the song at all but IDC, I love it and so here it is!

I wrote this song a long time ago, but I really wanted to work with the voice actor for the game's protagonist (Tristan D. Lalla playing as Adewale). I finally managed to pull it all together and here is the finished result. I'm really proud of this entry to my Assassin's Creed song collection!

If you follow my work closely you may well know who Oxygen Beats is. Oxygen has been mixing a lot of my music for the past couple of years, as well as composing some of the instrumentals I've rapped on too.
He had a vision for a Mei song, he wanted it to be creepy and trolly and I thought OK... let's do it. This is the do we did.
