Predator sketch

Hey all, here's a look at what's to come, I felt the need to draw the Predator, I'm a HUGE fan of Predator and Alien series. I'm going to use this picture for a bunch of useful tips for you all, all about detail and how to approach it, Predator is a great example of detail, all those bumps and blemishes, colours tones etc.. I'll do a few videos while working on it :)

I hope you like it so far, I'll leave it for now, better finish off that Civil War piece :) I'm about 80% done with it.

Collab Challenge complete!

Hi all, I've just completed the Batman v Superman art for the Collab Challenge, I teamed up with Stan Tanaka to make this happen, he did an awesome job of the pencils there. I hope you all like it, next Collab Challenge will be launched shortly :)

I just quickly threw together some simple colours, goes with the comic/cartoony style. I'm a big fan of the new Batman, love how bulky and brutal he is, how he should be!

Civil War progress update

Hi all, just another update for you, things are going well, having so much fun with this one, I've laid out all the lines and flats. I've got a background planned and will do that next. I might try and do some recording of the process for you next, but it gets tricky with the release of the movie coming up so quick, I want to make sure I get it out there by then, will let you know how it goes :)

GTA V trio roughs

I just felt the need to draw this bunch, as most of you know I'm probably the biggest GTA fan ever haha. I just quickly roughed up a little group shot, I might do something with it sometime, later on for sure, there's a lot going on at the moment.. Better move onto the Civil War picture so I can beat the release of the movie. Plus I've got to work on the Collab Challenge pic, busy busy :)

Haha just a quick sketch before bed, felt like drawing an exaggerated version of the Batfleck. Might turn this into a time-lapse sometime, gotta say though, I really REALLY like the new Batman, the movie was okay but Batman was ace!

Civil War progress

Hi all, here's a new look at the progress on the Civil War piece, the movie comes out on April 28 so I will be pumping it out by then :) Having so much fun with it, I am about to start the line work.

Collab Challenge WINNER!

Congratulations to Stan Tanaka for winning our first Collab Challenge with this beautifully detailed piece! There have been a bunch of great entries and it was a hard choice, the reason I chose Stan's is because of the overall feel and style, along with the great details and it's also quite dynamic. Batman v Superman piece DONE!

Hi all, I just finished this piece, I can say I've definitely learned a lot from doing it, I've never tried that light source, coming from underneath, with a bolt of light behind. Thought it might come out quite unique and dynamic so I gave it a shot. I hope you like it, I also tried for some strong contrast between Batman and the background to make him pop, by having him quite dark and making use of the lightning to give a glow behind him, I thought it'd give him that edgy vibe.

Civil War roughs refined

Hi all, just another update on the Civil War piece, I've cleaned up the roughs a little more, getting closer to starting inks. 

Also I just want to let you know, I've been trying to get the Joker & Harley Quinn tutorial done for weeks now but having a hard time with the recording software I'm using, I'm using Camtasia, the program is great.. except for when creating large projects. The damn thing crashes every few minutes I try to edit.. So it's a painfully slow process. I've had ...

Civil War roughs

Okay so I thought I'd get a start on the Civil War piece, I'm going with number 1 there, thought it'd be the most intense and dynamic of them all. I did like 3 at one point, where Iron Man has his hand gripping Cap's throat but it's tricky to keep that momentum with the piece. 

I thought 1 would work nicely because it has the movement continuing from the top left corner right through to the bottom right, that where the eye naturally runs when looking at a picture and gives it a big bo...

Civil War Spidey

Here's the new pose I've come up with for Spidey, going for that very dynamic shot, was tricky to achieve, hoping this works out haha! I'll do full colours on this soon too, notice I've given his eyes some emotion, same as the trailer, I hope you like it!

Still need to add more line work to the hand, and do the webbing but getting there.

Spidey from Civil War trailer

I just thought I'd share this with you all, last night I felt the need to draw Spidey after seeing that awesome trailer! Seeing Spidey make a comeback blew me away, I love the way his eyes work. 

Here's some poses I threw together and did a bit of inking on, the bottom pose I gave up on after a while, hence why he is unfinished haha. I want to do Spidey Justice, so I'll be going ahead with another type of pose, was stuck on these for too long and need to start fresh.

Joker & Harley Quinn tutorial progress

New tutorial coming soon

Hi, just letting you know I'm working on a new tutorial, around the theme of the Suicide Squad :) Well just Joker and Harley Quinn I should say. I'm going through my whole process, recording penciling right now, then will move onto line work and colouring.
