I'm noticing I'm accumulating quite a hoard of WIPS, I've been sort of in an Inking mood lately but since this one gotta get done , it's a good excuse to shift into shading and coloring gear, time to finish some work!

Untitled New Project [Character Designs/Sketches]

I'm not sure how these characters are gonna look by the end of it or if I'm gonna cycle them in or out, but you can get to see some first views of them, and of course, comments and opinions are very welcome!

Yesterday it was my friend Dettan's birthday, and I've been a little too busy to draw something, but whipped this up somewhat last minute, it's still gonna take a while to finish, so I figured I'd drop the WIP here, the character is Ponchiki and belongs to them.

Cosmo is another of my D&D characters, they're a whimsical amorphous fey being who thinks themselves a villanous mastermind, an accident gave most of their power to a warlock so now they can only use a small portion while theyr try to recover. In game they like reading minds and use transformations to psychologically affect people they're talking to

Ratman + Kobolds [Sketches/Character Design]

While I prepare for the upcoming project, have an assortment of D&D character concepts that I juggled around while trying to settle on a character for a recent One Shot, I'm gonna probably repurpose them for many things in the future

Ended up coloring this sketch, Spice also got smooched last session! 

Might also be a good time to hint that I'm gonna be doing a big-ish project very soon, as well as finishing all the current WIPs. End of the month is great when you do your job on time!

Lucius un-differences [Sketches]

I was trying to come with differences and an unique design for girl Lucius in the recent batch of drawings I did for her, but I've drawn her so much, that her design is starting to influence regular Lucius, so has now somewhat adopted parts of her design including her hairstyle and silly black eye shadow

On Velo and Lucius's (And Scarlet's) reference I've already posted before but I bring it back in full size so it can be compared to their oldoldold one, who knows maybe i should experim...

Burger [Study+Timelapse]

more than a study, this is very technically a tutorial on how to draw/paint food, with the aim of explaining my process and tips, check the attachment for the timelapse!

-Even if you're drawing a fantasy food that doesn't exist, look up references for at least similar things in texture, trust me, un-reference food can be immediately seen as bad or bland

-Generally speaking, food tends to look more organic with colored lines, black outlines tend to make the drawing flatter and more...

Gotta repeat that Girl Lucius is not the canon version, but heck is she fun to draw

Speed Legday [Character Design]

Speed is a D&D character I made a couple years ago meant to go as fast as possible, since then, Tabaxi can now be small sized, which makes them eligible for the Squat Nimbleness feat, which means that shrinking is the optimal way to become faster

Added some of her old art for comparison. Honestly, is there a preference? do you like short or tall speed?

A tiny bit of progress, but I realized I hadn't shown before this alt for that BaoBao piece, originally the bottom portion of the outfit was much skimpier but I thought it was too much for twitter so I made a tamer edit, you guys can have the original!

Progress on Spice's design, admitedly sometimes the solution is "just make it sexier", and although body-wise I'm very happy with this, there's a need for more exploration sketches on this character before their design is fully done.

I think I am getting too comfy and not iterating enough and that's something that needs solving.

There are some studies coming up that I need to do to get a handle on black and white comic pages and figuring out the right contrast and tone for what I want to do.  While I was prepping for it this sketch just kinda happened. 

So remember how I mentioned that sometimes a sketch pops up that I’m unsure might be a bit too spicy to post somewhere else?  This is what I’m talking about

Let's talk about something interesting, I very recently was invited to a D&D game and I was extremelly unprepared.

I decided on a concept of a Dragonborn monk cook who uses their elemental attacks as cooking techniques. I had to come up with a design on the fly and as a result I ended resorting to a very simplistic and very comfy shaped character, I like them a lot! but they are quite boring looking right now. I'm using these images as a placeholder in the game for now, but lets see...
