Bao Bao [Traditional]

A rare traditional marker piece. I wanted to work on other of the stuff I've got in the backlog yesterday, but I had a powerout from the morning to well past midnight, and this is what came of it as I quickly ran out of battery. Good news is that my new pastels marker set works wonders for my own characters (finally!), bad news is that my inking skills have become attrocious from lack of practice.

Fiddling around with velo's design a little, he's a fashion-themed character so it's probably gonna be common for him to swap into different hairstyles and outfits. Also experimenting with giving his base design a coat tail of some kind to make him look more "complete" and properly dressed

A relatively smaller update as I rapidfire designs for the upcoming comic project, I think I'm settling on the types of characters I want so now they'll just need polished proper refs.

I'm just now starting to recover, since I haven't drawn in several days, I tried to retrain how to use my tablet by coloring in the sketch from the previous batch that was my favorite as a little warmup, time to get back to work!

I also added a small correction to the last sketch just because I wasnt consistent with his eyebrows.
