Hello, Patrons. I'm pleased to bring you the new episode a whole 3 days before the general public gets to see it! Please tell me what you think. And also, if anyone's got suggestions for a better, funnier, more enticing, more SEO-friendly title, please let me know!

Why, look at that colorful chart. I've started working on the last stage of production of the upcoming episode - the sound! Ugh, the sound. Such a pain. I long for the era of silent films. In that era I would already be done.

Pen Gag

Rendering this simulated 3D collapse of a "pen mosaic" overnight. It takes just under 2 minutes per frame, for 88 frames. All for a silly joke that opens the next episode. Really hope this works :|

Editing

Here's the Avid sequence of the next episode in rough form. The pink parts are the fully completed explanation "breakdown" segments. The rest is just me on screen, you know, THE BORING STUFF. Next I need to create a 3D rendering of a mosaic made of pens to which I will add the pen I'm holding. I'll attempt to do this using Blender, an open-source 3D animation program I'm not very well-versed in...

Production Update

Sooo, despite being under the weather, I'm plugging along on the next episode. As you can see, the filming and editing are done, as well as both "breakdowns", as I call them. These are the animated segments of the actual explanations, the "meat" of an episode, if you will. They are the most time-consuming, so this is a good place to be. Left are the visual effects (things like holding the video player in my hand), finessing of how the color of everything looks (grading) and making the audio clea...
