Make sure to visit my website for easy to download and view video files.  Patrons get special access to a patron-only tab under each post with versions of the animations without a watermark, and some even get bonus angles or variations.

Say hello to one of my new productivity boosters, which I call the Pose Box.  I plan to pose out scene ideas and post them up almost daily, even in an unfinished state, to see how you guys like it.

Included a lot of bonus angles from experimenting with Blender cameras.  This is another jump into trying more Blender works and transferring some of my process from one program to another.

Quick post alteration, but to make things feels more intuitive, I am going to start making each post into a REDGIFS collection.  The collection is private, and only for patrons, but like always it will come down to you guys not sharing the link.  Thank you.  Hopefully this will give a better way for people to see all the bonus angles when hesitant with my web portal, and I will no longer have to use Patreon's wonky upload system.

The Rules of Rexx

This post isn't just for you guys, honestly I am writing it more for myself then anyone.  Won't get into too many specifics of what I learned over the last week, but I have some mental challenges that I need to find solutions for.  (Turns out adult ADHD with anxiety is a bitch)

To better get back to the place I want to be, I have developed what I am calling "The Rules."  These are rules I am going to demand of myself, or in some cases, forgive myself, so that I can get back to creating the amount I want to create.  I may have alluded to these things before, but I never actually focused on them as I am going to focus now.

• Rule #1

I ain't perfect.  I need to stop fretting that I need to be.  Let's just say I ain't getting any younger, and the field of creators has grown drastically since I started.  I don't consider other creators competition, but the quality of work people put out has been really putting mine to shame.  That's okay. I always tell others to focus on your own work and not compare to others, but sometimes I can't seem to take my own advice.  My work will have mistakes.  It does not mean I can't try to improve, but I can't let the fear of those errors stop me either.  If you looking for utter animated perfection, there are lot of other creators to follow out there, just check out my retweets over on twitter.

• Rule #2

It does not matter what is created.  Just create.  One can get hung up on various mental blocks.  Did I use that character too much? When is the last time I used character B? Pose G?  What about character C? D? Will people start leaving when I don't use character E but because I don't have an idea for them other then the same pose I used last week?  I really want to use character A again with a similar pose as two weeks ago but.... Holy shit it's Friday? Wat?  I am done with that voice.  It's getting grounded.

• Rule #3

Not everything needs to be animated.  I know I am mostly known for my animations, but sometimes I feel like busting out a static image can be fun too.  It's a hot button in my head, because I know most of you prefer animated works.  I am slapping that worry out of my head to better align with Rule #2.

• Rule #4

It's okay to tease.  It does not always have to be in your face. I have a habit of wanting to do more explicit works where the action is more in your face.  This isn't a bad thing, but I find myself passing on ideas I really want to do because I would have to be more coy with the penetration or action.  It's okay to imply, rather then show.  Some of my best works barely show anything.

• Rule #5

Not everything needs to be NSFW.  While I will always predominantly be NSFW, making things that are SFW might be fun too.  Even simple things, like a little pinup, or just a light teasing pose.  There is nothing wrong with that.

So you probably asking, what does this have to do with us? It has a lot to do actually.  Here is the rundown of a few things I am changing to better keep myself under control with these rules.

Creating will happen more often, but it's gonna be entirely off my gut.  This means you may see me using the same character over and over, even in similar poses, just because it's the thing that infects my brain for that week or month.  Just gonna let it roll.  Fighting that gut intuition is only making me stagnant.  It was easier to get that drive with WoW, since that was my "hyper-fixation" for decades, but I don't have that anymore.  I have to adapt.

To give you guys more, and also to not give myself any more logistical work, any static works I make will be patron exclusive, uploaded here under their own tag.  I may still post a "preview" on my twitter for interest, but the rest will be exclusive.  Animations will always be mostly free with any extra variants to angles or sound being exclusive for you guys.  Of course fanatics and up also get larger sized variants for both static and animated.

The comic is a sore spot for me, because I want to keep going, but I sometimes get blocked on how to format it and it just kills my enthusiasm for weeks.  As a work around, I am going to let myself use single frame panels sometimes, or even panels with no text (or write the text in a box rather then wrestling speech bubbles for hours.)  No more logistics killing my creative flow.  However, due to some specific rules, the comic will only be on my website.

Posts here are also going to be a bit more streamlined.  Image, Site Link, Info, Tags.  That will be the general format.  I want most of the collection of assets to be done through my site, as it's way easier to focus on it and I feel I have more control over it.

I apologize for the large amount of text, but I felt this post needed to be here for myself more then anything.  Thank you all for supporting me.  Now to get back to work and see how this goes.

Chasers

Okay I got a little carried away on this one.  This one will be unique in that it's both 60fps and the camera was actually a bit more pulled out, but I decided to manually zoom in a bit more for the public release after editing.  Uploading that original angle and a special battle camera variant just for you guys.
 

More variants will upload over time.  Of course fanatics can get the untouched original renders, and you might even see a few unused stuff in there.

If you guys have not tried it yet, Battle Chasers Nightwar is a pretty fun little game.  The aesthetic is my favorite part of the whole thing.

Just wanted to make sure you all got an updated link to the fanatic archive.   Didn't realize it was busted.  

Also, if you are a fanatic or above and log into my site using the patron integration, there is a direct link to the posts 4k mega folder under the patron tab that is only visible fanatics and above.  Of course only if they have a 4k option for the post, I am still trying to go back and redo some old projects in the higher resolution options.

Little fact but on my end the personal archive and the fanatic archive are one in the same, I use a script to split them so you guys can enjoy those 4k files as a little bonus for the extra support.  That is why the folder structure can seem a little wonky.

Emergency Commissions

So you may have noticed I have been rather silent again.  This time it was only half due to emotional instability.

The fact is, I am broke.

I lost of a lot of you guys slowly after the wow purge, and my outside contracts ended, and I am just struggling to scrape by mostly with my savings.  I had to do some outside work to survive (thus the extra delays) and may even have to look into a part time job, but as of right now I am in the danger zone financially.

As such I am opening up commissions.  Prices will depend on complexity, so asking for something that will take three days just to build and animate will raise the price accordingly, but I am hoping even just busting out a few cheap still images would be possible, or just quick animated loops for cheap.

I may even open up to private commissions for certain things.  Make sure to just send any requests via private message, but please make sure there is a model I can use, whether a character I have used before or one on smutbase.  

Can do posing in Blender too, though animations would be pretty basic.

I am doing this right now just for patrons, but if I don't get enough interest here I will likely have to open up publicly.  Any help would be appreciated.

Who knows, maybe this is the kick in the ass I need to get over my anxiety.

Small Change

As a quality of life thing, I am going to start going a bit more bare bones with text.  

I am going to focus on content, credits, and uploads, and save any witty text and communications for text posts where I have something to say, like this one.

Looking into multiple angles on this but I spent so much time fighting the sound work.  It's not my best mix, and a bit more softcore then I usually create, but I am getting the hang of the Wild Rift models and I liked her body as it was for now.

Slight Delay

As you may have noticed my state of Texas got hit with a major ice problem.  I have been on high alert just in case things went south and I lost power, but thankfully nothing too terrible has happened to my family directly.  It still added up to put me behind yet again.  

New animation will be up when I can.  Also been messing with another renderer to get a more authentic feel for future FF14 works.  Will show that off on my twitter later.

I was nervous about taking some moments for myself, but you all stuck with me even as I went dark, and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate it.

I plan to start up again this week and am considering a LoL animation, since I have a whole new set of models from that franchise, and I am really feeling like I want to use the stylized aesthetic.  Makes me feel good.

Any suggestions? It would have to be a character from Wild Rift. 

Breathing

I posted this on twitter earlier, but I am stepping back from a few responsibilities for a short time. Basically, don't expect common animation updates out of me for now.

All the times I said I was going to step away for a break, I honestly never did.  It felt too much like doing so was signing my death warrant here on patreon, and maybe it is, but the more I pushed it the more I just kept falling behind on every single one of my goals anyways.  The poppy video, the webcomic, the weekly updates with sound, my attempts at my own universe, it combined with the struggles of my COVID home life teaching my kids and my supplemental work threw me in a weekly spiral of panic attacks.  When you get that low you find just getting simple things done, like converting something, turn into day long adventures in struggling.

It's a new year, and I am tired of feeling like a failure.

My idea right now is to focus on clearing out some things, remove the weight, and get back to a point I can focus again.  To not let this place fall too silent I will post up anything I decide to mess with on my personal time, even if it's just a draft or idea.

Anyways, here is the ARR Y'shtola animation I have been working on, untouched.  When I get myself under control I will edit it with sound and should have some remix variations that I am going to only render for patrons.  Here is another pose I am also testing out, and old favorite.

I am also looking into maybe using octane instead, but I have to get some artifacts to go away.  You can't notice them much at this range but close up it's an utter mess.

2021 is a new year, now I just hope I and my family can get back to some normalcy after all the virus scares and social unrest.  Cheers, yall.

Remixes

One thing I know people used to like about my stuff is remixing.  I have been working hard to bring that back.  Thankfully I am close for two options.  One is custom work using the same models I used for the Robyn animation, and the other is FFXIV.  It should be much more common to see remixes, including patron only remixes, filling in dead spaces in the future, and I will be open for patrons to once again submit characters for remixes.

Outer Rim Recruitment - Alternate Version

While checking some models I stumbled on another head that looked pretty good.  Decided to do a little graft to try it out.

I don't plan to stop using the other version of her, but I made this version as a drag and drop variant. I plan to just render both on occassion.

Only two angles done so far, but more in the future.
