Progress! I decided to go ahead and color below my clean lineart instead of on top of it, to kinda go for that somewhat-anime look. Wanted to try to get something similar to Toriyama-san's style. :P

Figuring out his face was tough, but I think I got it. Toriyama-san's style is -very- particular. I haven't decided the kind of approach I'll be taking with this one yet. I might end up going the more anime/cel-shaded look to kinda match the style. Maybe a mix of both my painterly style and Toriyama style? 🤔 We'll see!

Was able to get a first pass at color today, AND completely do the entire background. Neon lights being the only thing in the background really made it quick to do!
I still have the whole body and guitar to paint over, and that's gonna take a while. But! I managed to completely finish the head and a little bit of the shoulders. So that area should give you an idea of what to expect when the whole thing is done. :)

Made some progress today. Minor edits to his torso length and added a glimpse of his feet since he's kneeling. He's coming along. I have a little bit of refining to do on his grayscale before I start coloring. I am not quite sure what to do with the background yet, but I'll figure something out. Maybe something kinda similar to the big stage he's playing on with all the neon lights behind him from the trailer.
