Taking another crack at the Friday Night Funkin' soundtrack this week. I actually started this remix back in early July when I was having whatever manic episode led me to have enough content to start putting out music on a weekly basis. It was nice to have Derrick contribute 50% of this track since I think those are the ones that turn out the best. I did the arrangement and he handled the drums and synth selections.

I got really carried away with this cover really quickly, and I love how it turned out. I fit a ton of guitar overdubs that I usually don't have time for into it and this is my favorite guitar solo I've recorded to date. The shots with the cigarette glasses were a last minute idea and then I ended up having the video revolve around them. I kind of like doing things with a black backdrop again so I might have that kind of shot be more prominent in videos.

Back with another Mega Man X remix and I'm now closing in on having done every boss theme in the game. This is one of the last songs from the mountain of music I started in December 2020, so it feels great to be catching up with my backlog. Very excited to be putting my voice back to work. This is one of my favorite HammerFall songs and ended up being a LOT more work than expected so I hope you guys enjoy. Pokemon has a really diverse soundtrack and I think I'll have done more Pokemon covers this year than in the last decade. I really liked how my Ecruteak City remix turned out, so I'm considering this the sequel. I used the same instruments as I did with Ecruteak to try to make both of them one coherent idea if you listened to them back to back.
