Year of the Dragon concepts
As you can see, I've been continuing to work out the look of the illustration, Lusty's costume, how the dragon(s) will look - next I'll have to start doing thumbnails to figure out the composition I want. I'm thinking dragon blood trees in the background? Since it's a Wood Dragon year? We'll see.
Apart from these sketches, I've collected a TON of reference images, so I just need to keep winnowing everything down to what I want. I'm aiming...

Year of the Dragon
I've finally begun work on my Year of the Dragon illustration.
This sketch is to figure out Lusty's look for the thing. I'm already thinking I want to cut or change some things, so it's been a productive time sketching!
I'll be continuing this process until I have a costume/ makeup/ hair style I think will be good for the illustration.

This will be the last WIP you see before I finish this comm!
I've done most of the rendering on Kama, and some rendering on the stone dungeon wall.
Still to complete Lusty, and Kama's big ass paladin shield over on the left!
Then I'll be finishing off:

Here's the high resolution file for the main version of Lusty Tree (the alts will be coming as soon as possible!)
We also have a quick timelapse! Due to the file size becoming incredibly large, I had to do a lot of work to get this file to you, and ended up stitching together two separate video files.
