Honestly, this one was SO much fun! It felt like an awesome mix of action, wonder, and nostalgia that made this journey very exciting. And I think because I know what to expect from these films now, I was just waaaaiting for the chaos to begin with a big grin on my face!
And I loved all the callbacks to the original Jurassic Park film! I caught myself getting goosebumps or smiling every time the theme song kicked in or they dropped a reference. The '94 Jeep Wrangler and that ...

π I decided to throw in Episode 7 since it was 'Part 2' of Episode 6! This video does contain BOTH of those episodes. I put timestamps on the video so you can find your way to Part 2 more easily if you don't have time to watch it all in one sitting. Let me know in the comments if it's okay to keep this format for future "to be continued" episodes, or if you'd rather me split them up!
This two-parter felt like a much needed deep breath aft...

This was such a CREEPY episode π Starbuck's time in the quiet hospital with the cylon doctor was absolutely haunting. And after Kara witnessed what was really going on behind the sterile curtains, I was mortified. Scratch eeeeverything I ever said about feeling sorry for Cylon's from last episode's outro.
What made this even crazier was that near the end, I started to see a parallel path between the Cylons and President Roslin. Both are driven by spirituals beliefs. Both a...

Sam becoming Captain America on his terms was UP THERE with powerful moments I've seen in the MCU. Not just because of the suit and shield (althoughπ₯) but because of his speech. He held up a mirror to power and challenged everyone to be better. Lead with empathy. See and feel the people they represent.
Even John Walker's arc, messy and insane as it was, said something about ego and entitlement and what happens when we chase after symbols without really understanding. I sti...

Here we are at the final two episodes of this incredibly difficult but beautiful series. "Truth" sat heavy on my heart. This was probably my favorite episode out of the entire series. It was about tainted legacy, identity, and the emotional toll of carrying a symbol that was never made for someone like you.
Sam's conversation with Isaiah was so real. Hearing the truth, the real unfiltered truth, of how America treats its heroes was sobering. It was personal. And seeing how Sam handled ...

Hi everyone!
Last week I took a little mental break from all the heavy and watched Airplane! for the first time! Thank you to everyone who voted for it! It was such a hilarious fever dream of a ride and exactly what I needed. This week, I'm diving back into our ongoing series with a full heart and renewed energy! Let's goooooo β¨
Here's what I'll be jumping into this week:

I wasn't sure what to expect going into Airplane! since I was born in '92 and I figured a lot of the humor might go over my head. I was really nervous I wouldn't "get it". But wow, I was dying laughing a few times lol.
The absurdity, the literal jokes, the deadpan deliveries. It was so much fun! I didn't expect it to hold up this well. Even without catching all the references to famous people or '70s culture, the sheer commitment to the bit had me cracking up. From the literal 'drinki...

This episode was honestly hard to watch at times, but in a good way. It was intense emotionally, morally, and even visually. And the ending left me absolutely stunned. Seeing the shield used that way... and stained that way. I hope Steve isn't watching the news today...
Walker's descent has been building for some time now. Slowly, barely noticeable. But this moment it fully snapped. Watching him justify violence in the name of justice was absolutely disgusting. And yet tragically belie...

There's a real sense that the already fragile balance holding the fleet together is starting to finally crack. And it's painful to witness. With Adama still down, Tigh's leadership is just... an unraveling disaster. I actually feel sorry for him. He's not cut out for this level of responsibility, but at the same time, the way he handles martial law is tragic and frustrating. This kind of pressure exposed every single one of his weaknesses, especially the drinking and his complete lack of poli...

This season is HEAVY. This entire episode was about what happens to people under extreme pressure when leadership fails and fear begins to take over. On Kobol, Crashdown let his fear win under the pressure. His spiral into complete delusion and desperation was so painful to watch. And Baltar's moment felt like a terrifying but inevitable shift for his character. I don't even really know if he made the right call, but it was clearly the only option in that moment.
On G...

I have been excited to sit and watch Solo ever since I saw this movie title on the release order list back when I began the original trilogy! Han immediately became one of my favorite characters after he hit Leia with the "I know" π And this movie was no disappointment to his legacy!
This was a story about outlaws. No jedi. No Sith (well almost hahaha). Just a wholehearted tale of an outlaw dealing with smugglers, betrayals, and broken loyalties. Making some love ...

Heads up: There's a little mini TED talk in the intro of this one. I've been sitting with a few too many comments lately about my reactions to these films (and yes, also the later Star Wars movies which I happen to be currently watching as well) and it started to really eat away at my soul. So, I took a moment to speak from the heart about how I experience "bad" movies and even how flawed stories can have meaning, excitement, and laughter if you're o...

The tone, the pacing, the vibe of Madripoor definitely shifted some gears in this episode. It all felt so cyberpunk and dangerous. And it was a complete shock to find Sharon there, watching over like a guardian angel in the shadows.
Zemo brought his charisma, and Sharon has a bit of a spicier side but... something feels off. With her, with the bigger picture, even with the way Sam and Bucky try to navigate this mess. I don't know exactly what it is just yet, and maybe that's ...

This episode had horror-movie energy... And not just the intense and chaotic Cylon attack either. Don't get me wrong- that was terrifying! But what hit even harder were the quiet moments. The silences. The helplessness that surrounds literally everyone, everywhere.
I was just editing my YouTube reaction to Episode 11 and looking back on Season 1 is pretty wild to me right now. Things were chaotic, yes. But they were actually somewhat normal? Somewhat hopeful. Somewhat sane. Se...

What a start to the season! There was absolutely no time to breathe or ease back in. Just pure chaos, fear, and grief from the first frame until the last. Tigh stepping up brought such a weird tension. I immediately wanted that familiar comfort of Adama back on the screen. But he is clearly not Adama, and he knows that, but he's trying his best. I felt myself judging him one moment and feeling for him the next..
With everyone stranded on Kobol while Adama fights for his life on the sh...

This one was so different than all the other ones before it. Some in good ways, some in bad. I genuinely enjoyed it even though I found myself frustrated and caught off guard by choices that challenged what I thought Star Wars was supposed to be.
I think one of the most powerful things this film did was shift the way we understand the Force. The Force no longer belongs to bloodlines, to chosen ones, to legends. It's no longer just the domain of Skywalkers or ancient ...

This movie had a darker, more chaotic energy to it compared to the first! The dinosaurs felt less like marvels of science and more like ticking time bombs ready to go off at any minute. I guess as a viewer, we also carry that same PTSD that Dr. Chaos had throughout this entire film. I wanted to reach through the screen and shake everyone and yell "TURN BACK. Don't go to the island, again!?" lol
Ludlow was an immediate slimy antagonist. I felt a mix of frustration and dread every time h...

This beautiful anime felt like unlocking a hidden layer of the entire Matrix trilogy. It didn't just expand the universe but also reframed it. Each short episode was so beautiful in the way that it had its own tone and texture. And they deepened my understanding of what the Matrix really is, how it all started, and what it means to resist it.
I loved how human this felt despite being filled with machines, plugs, and digital ASMR. Each story made me reflect on those themes tha...

This episode left me sitting with A LOT.
Watching Steve Rogers' legacy get passed down to John Walker felt a bit like a gut punch, obviously. I'll admit his resume, demeanor (at least in the beginning?), and overall vibe seemed pretty even-keel. Almost a bit like a copy/paste of Steve Rogers. I bit my tongue a lot not to call him Walmart Steve Rogers. But it all still felt wrong. The suit, the shield, the pageantry at the football field.. It just felt like watching someone we...

Wow.
Going into this one, I knew we would be going to a galaxy far, far away to a time that was before the OT. But I was not prepared for the depth and how much this movie would move me.
I've spent so much time with the Force, the chosen ones, the Skywalker destinies and Sith legacies over the past month. But Rogue One was about the forgotten people. The ones who don't have powers or sabers, who don't get remembered in the legends, bu...

Happy Summer Solstice, everyone! βοΈπ The first film of the summer was this one and it absolutely DID NOT disappoint. I knew these films were a big deal, but I honestly didn't expect to love the story this much. Yes, the dinos were iconic (and they honestly held up pretty well visually!) but what really sucked me in was the depth that went into this!
This movie wasn't just about action and roars. It's thoughtful, suspenseful, and surprisingly emotional! ...

Wow. This first season to Battlestar Galactica has been an incredibly insane ride! I think I'm still trying to catch my breath after this finale.
This final episode to Season 1 pulled no punches. Emotionally, spiritually, and narratively. Everything that has been slowly building up over this season finally came to a head, and I felt all of it. The stakes were real, not just because of the action, but because of how deeply these characters are now divided. By their faith, by t...

This episode felt like everything finally busted at the seams. And there was no stitching things back to the way they were. Trust was broken, lines were crossed, and people were finally being honest about their own beliefs.
Starbuck choosing to go against Adama stung. But honestly, I can't blame her for choosing to run with a desperate act of faith after finding out Adama's lie about Earth. It felt like watching a child walk away from their parent because they realized the lies they w...

I've been very excited to get back to the current MCU timeline and this episode didn't sugarcoat any of it. The action in the opening had that classic MCU thrilling feel. It was awesome watching Falcon do what he does best, but beneath that something felt out of place. Seeing Sam wrestle with the legacy of Captain America's shield was intense. It's clear he respects the heck out of Steve. But he doesn't feel ready to stand in his shoes. And that tension felt super real.
Then we have B...
