WH Calendar 2022 Sketch

Greetings, loves!

I usually like working on pending pieces as soon as possible, but for the back cover of next year's Wildehopps calendar I just didn't know what to do exactly.

Which is why it took me until now to work on it... >~<
In the end, I decided to go for something "simple". No complicated backgrounds but still capturing the romantic essence within these two! X3

Tender moments are quite complicated when it comes to characters with so different anatomies...

The Wind Waker

Greetings, loves!

It is finally done and I was able to make the line art thinner! X3

Also, I think I forgot to mention it.
For this piece, I did a little research, not as big as other I have done, or maybe you could say the biggest one depending on how you see it. ^^"

I wasn't familiarized with The legend of Zelda's multiple alternate timelines and how they all connect. So that was interesting. It got a bit complicated for me until I finally reached the Wind Waker stor...

WindWaker Sketch

Good day, loves!

After so long we are finally back to the last piece from the Cosplay Wardrobe project. (At least for now. :p)

And I had a lot of problems with this one, I must add. ^^"
I have never been good with vehicles of any kind...but the nature of this game, at least as far as I investigated, sets itself in the ocean for a really big portion of the story. So it just felt wrong to not include it. And the little ship that Link travels on seemed simple enough to include.<...

Let's Go Marill!

Pokemon Partners Sketches

Greetings, loves!

Here are both of the sketches I made for my Pokemon partner pieces.
It was difficult to choose only one of these adorable creatures, and even though I was told that others also picked more than one to have them all in the same piece, I though I could split them with my red pandas since I only had two in mind. ^^

Also, just as I mentioned before, I wanted to take the opportunity to practice backgrounds.

This one made me realized that there are some depictions (fire in this case) that I still need a bit of practice in. ^^"

Another one finished! We are almost done!

For this one I discovered that getting rid of the line art over the rocks gave them a nice illustration touch! I might experiment a bit more with that in the future! =3

I'm sure Judy will keep on making the world a better place with these new abilities she mastered!

Justice remains as strong as earth itself! >:3

WATER

Hello again, loves!

The waterbending piece is finished!
I used the same scroll like aura for it and I think I'll do the same with the remaining two.

I tried experimenting with the effect, but in the end it looked more like a stamp than an illustration on a scroll. ^^"

Would we know what BB is up two?
Mysteries reside within the water. ;3

Here is the final version for the airbending piece!
I wanted to give it a bit of a scroll like essence based on the ones seen in the show. :3

Also, because I did the math and it seems that it'll take me a bit longer than I expected if I don't work faster. Which means nothing too complicated for the background. ^^"

But it seems like Raspberies is ready to spread the treats' aroma around the city!
Maybe this could be the poster outside the Pawlace! <...

Firebending Sketch

And last, but not least, everyone also seemed to agreed on having Nick as the firebender.

I'll tell you this, now that every sketch is done, it actually took me a bit longer than I expected since, as I  mentioned at the beginning, I wanted to practice dynamic poses and I experimented a bit with them.

Trying to figure out which one would look better for each element and also trying to adjust them to the anatomy of the character chosen for it. ^^" <...

Earthbending Sketch

There was also different opinions about the element Judy should control in this world. And I like them all! xD

But just like in the case of Raspberries, there were more that agreed on having her being the earthbender. And  I have to admit that, considering her size and the "cute bunny" description she might often get, I do fancy the idea of her mastering the "hardest" of the elements and showing just how tough she can be! >:3

It is very interesting to explore the lore, concepts and designs from the Avatar world! =3

As you might have noticed, I took your suggestions into consideration and in the end, Raspberries as an Airbender was mentioned multiple times. Which is why I present this concept to you. ^^

Once again, I decided to go for a simple background based on the original intro and of course, a little pun for the title. :P

Also, I tried to use subtle shadows since I usual try to mimic the style from the original version and I realized that this show doesn't use shadows... xD

Kim Possible Sketch

Much like what I have done for other pieces, even though I did watch Kim Possible in the past, I decided to revisit the episodes and find a bit of inspiration for it. It is such a funny show! xD

And I do like having Judy being as cool as she already is, and portraying Nick just a bit clumsy ( as he might really be :p) a...

At some point I was tempted to try an recreate the style of a storybook illustration, but I was already too far ahead with he color version. ^^"

Little Red Riding Hood Sketch

Here is the idea I had for this story. We all know that the wolf dresses up like little red riding hood's grandmother. But I actually wanted to focus on the moment they meet in the woods.

And of course I needed to add a few clothes for Nick in this scenario. xD
Nothing too complicated either. I went for generic male clothes from the decade.

To be honest, I don't know much about this world myself. ^^"
But I do like making a little research when that happens.

So here we have Nick taking the role of Captain Harlock and Judy as Kei Yuki. ^^

I have discovered that the series is very ambiguous rewarding romantic relationships. Specially between these two characters, but you know me... :p

KH Stained Glass Sketch

As I mentioned in a previous post, the Kingdom Heart piece I was working on was a bit incomplete without the third character that's part of the trio.

Then again, the story of this character is deeply connected with yet another individual. And since a have received "Yin Yang" styled suggestions featuring Raspberries and BB in the past I decided to mix them all into the same piece. ^^

Dearly Beloved

You know how much I love these two. And for as much as I adore warm moments and sweet situations, sometimes there are just not so happy moments.

Throughout the original version, these two best friends stray farther and farther away from each other. Naturally, there are a few details I left out, but I certainly ship them and hope that they'll reach they happily ever after sooner or later.
