Update - Porsche 996 Carrera Cup

So the tedious task of painting more skins is underway. Such a painstaking task on certain designs where painting in 2d mapped onto a 3d surface means lining up certain stripes or logos can take longer than usual.

The car will have the full 2005 German Cup Car skins, the last year the 996 raced before being replaced. 

Testing for the car will begin soon. This should be a treat for those of you with a shifter. The interior sound is also especially nice on this one.

F1 1982 Brabham BT50 - Test Mule V2

Thank you to those who tested and provided feedback.

This has been incorporated into further development of the car.

Changelog:

- Revised engine data, increased bhp via turbo adjustments. Car should now be a bit more skittish under boost. 

- Removed twin turbos as this was incorrect and replaced with a larger single one.

- New sound from a turbo boosted period correct BMW engine. Sound then adjusted to tune the note down slightly.

So heres 0.1

I've made it so it feels lighter than a late 70's car but still heavy.

Suspension reworked so it all aligns in showroom under align suspension option.

600bhp subject to change - slight decrease maybe.

Gears dropped from 6 to 5.

Tops out around 178.

Reveal - F1 1982 Rework

So as many of you will know, this was ported over by the "Dream" with a few issues as usual.

I have therefore taken upon myself the unfavorable task of bringing this up to a better standard.

The 1988 F1 tracks are currently being updated by other modders so I'm going to be updating all the available F1 Seasons from the 1980s. (the 1978 work will continue separately)

Hello everyone,

Firstly thank you for your continued support and Hello to the new supporters.

I've not been posting as many updates over the last few weeks as I've been sorting out my rig.

The Ultima GTR GT2 will be released soon with all the necessary upgrades as per the 2022 pipeline. This includes wet weather support which was missing from the 1st release. The issue im currently sorting out is rain falling into the cockpit. Once fixed the car will be released.

Release - Renault R.S.01

Hey, sorry I've been quiet lately. A new rig set up means I've had to adjust a few things in regards to how I test mods.

In the interim I've updated the Renault R.S.01 from ACM which is a great car.

Single series racing is always exciting.

Howmet TX - Update

So I've sorted the weird AO issue by removing the baked in AO from the skin. 

The rear grille mesh has also now been sorted.

Retextured the rear lights in HD taken from the real car.

Next few jobs:

• Remove the wing mirrors next and replace with some better looking ones.
• Cut a hole in the roof scoop so it looks like it could actually work.
• Sort shaders for metal roof so the texture looks more like the real thing.

this may or may not see the light of day....a gas turbine powered classic race car

the model is very old from circa early 2000's

im currently modernising it to see if its worth finishing further

it does run and the gas engine is something to behold

Ok so the Lods issue has been temporarily fixed as I've found a workaround. Therefore I can release cars with Lods again.

I'm now working on the Wolf WR1 and Fittipaldi F5A. The externals have been done and the cockpits now need modelling. The Wolf WR1 will be released first as the Fittipaldi will come in 2 variants, early and late season.

Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to let you know whats going on atm.

So firstly Simplygon has been updated by Microsoft and has caused issues for everyone within the AC modding community. As it currently stands its nearly impossible to use it to make LODS which is essential IMO for any released cars.

So I will release cars without LODS and update them when this issue is fixed.

Always wanted to bring this car to AC due to the unique steering wheel and arguably the best the cockpit of all time.

Most of the work has been done in private but wanted to let everyone know its on its way as part of a pack of cars.

Wolf WR5 - Incoming

The car is nearly done, sorry for the delay was hoping for today but my program has decided to bork the steering wheel. Working through this now and I'm hoping to release tomorrow at some point.

Update - AMC AMX/3

Cars been scaled for the correct wheelbase.

Interior has been completely remodeled. All parts fitting correctly, horrible dash underside now replaced and is a lot more accurate.

Wheel sizes and tire sizes fixed.

Shader improvements. Texture improvements.

Seat Colour coding.

Loads of other fixes.

I'm now building the physics, this car had about 300bhp and weighed 1400kg so it should be reasonably lively. 

Clocks and wheels shouldnt take me too lon...

I've been meaning to bring this over to Assetto for a while.

All the hard works been done, so when I have time I will make a white wall tire texture, polish the textures/shaders and sort the driving position out due to the unique cockpit.

Maybe I'll do another weird hot rod type car to go with so there can be some sort of grid. Maybe a Ford Model T hot rod of some sort.

So this is nearing completion. 

Physics are now mostly finished.

Most textures have been done.

Ive rebuilt the steering wheel and it looks a million times better now.

Ive rebuilt the center LCD panel which now is the correct orange color and reads lap time. 

Few more finishing touches and this will go on release.

NEW WIP - AMC AMX/3

Another first in sim racing.

This one is coming along quickly and if I'm honest I much prefer working on older cars with clocks rather than Motecs even if it can be more work sometimes.

I've done the interior but it needs a bit more modelling work as its not as close as I want it yet, the steering wheel too. Considering it was completely blank a few days ago though its looking much better.

I also need to do a custom animation for the pop-up lamps.

Update - Wolf WR5/6

So, hardest parts done. 

Front suspension - hardest part for me especially on open wheelers as the pivot points can be weird.

Clocks - correct clocks with glass, had to rebuild these from scratch.

Seat - replaced with HQ model. Added seat belts.

Rebuilt steering wheel - added correct Personal logo too.

I now need to add shadows to everything and bake the AOs internally and externally.

I also did some bits on the physics and I'm trying to add a 6th gear...

NEW WIP - Ford GT70

Hello hello!

Been working on this slowly for a few months behind everything else.

Its pretty much finished just fine tuning last few things to try and improve FPS as its killing them at the minute.

But yes most of the work is done.

I will be releasing a car before the months out, probably two just trying to decide which ones to finalise.
