Chandelure

Sorry for the delay, but Chandelure is finally finished! Admittedly Chandelure is one of my favorites, so I wanted to make sure I did it justice. I think this is the first time I've tried two-point lighting, so I hope it turned out satisfactory!

Putting the finishing touches on Chandelure but it might be a little late, Sorry! For now, here's another oldie that I never felt like posting publicly. I'm not particularly displeased with this one, but it's just a tad boring. If I were to do her again I'd probably try rendering the shell a little different to give it more of a sticky waxy feel. And maybe get an angle where you can see the naughty bits~

September Poll Winners

Another month with a tie for the winners; this time we've got Yamask, Lycanroc (Midnight Form), and Sableye! Additionally there was a submission in the suggestion box that would have been included in this month's poll. However, as outlined in my previous post billing is paused for this month and there will be subsequently be no poll. With no poll to add that suggestion to for the month I've decided to simply count it among the winners, so Fennekin will also be drawn!

Important Announcement

First and foremost, I'd like to thank you once again for any and all support, it really means a lot to me! As I've mentioned in a few previous posts, there's been a lot going on in my personal life lately. Nothing to seriously fret over, but enough to both keep me busy and prompt some reflection.

The works I've produced lately have been very satisfying, but I still can't help but stress a little bit about stagnating. I want to push myself a bit further, but it's been difficult to find the time to grind lessons. For that reason, I've come to the decision to pause billing for the month of October, during which time the usual perks will not be offered. As of now I am planning on spending October fulfilling the backlog of poll winners thus far. I will then spend all of November focusing on tutorials, lessons, and practice in the hopes putting some momentum into further improvement. During that time I will continue to post older drawings that I've already completed weekly as usual, but I will not be starting any new ones. I will also likely be posting some of the fruits of my training, maybe with some Pokemon flavor.

On a related subject, I also plan to use this time to reevaluate my patron tier perks and will likely implement these changes when billing resumes. Changes probably won't be too drastic, but I'd like to try and make each tier feel a little more rewarding while staying in line with what I'm realistically capable of. Might shuffle around the perks a bit with 1 or 2 new ones added. More specific details and opportunity for feedback to come as I consider my options.

Once again, thank you for your support! My drive to improve is so much stronger thanks to you all!

Sorry for the wait! Things have been a bit hectic, but I finally managed to finish the big girl! The armor was a bit of a challenge, but I'm pleased with how she turned out!

Was hoping to have finished Golisopod by now, but had to make some tweaks to it. In the meantime, please enjoy this Dratini!~

And one more behind the scenes post. Sometimes when I'm struggling with certain shapes or angles I cheat a little with some 3d modeling for reference. As you can see, this one took a little more extensive fiddling to get a reference model.

Boxed - Beedrill

Been a little while since I dropped one of these. Another one that I just wasn't quite satisfied with. Face felt a bit off and the pose felt a bit awkward. With insects in particular I always find it difficult to balance detail with the Pokemon's original simplistic design, and I felt like I didn't quite hit this one right. Maybe I'd tweak the body a little bit if I revisited her. Anyway, hope you enjoy her despite the issues!

So I've got a bunch of old drawings lying around that for one reason or another I'm not satisfied enough with to post publicly. But I figured that even if I'm not happy with them, posting them here is at least better than letting them gather dust in storage. Maybe eventually I'll revisit some of them with updated art, but for the time being you can expect some of these to drop occasionally.

This time, it's Mr Mime. I wanted to try going for a "pressed up against glass" effect, but the pose really didn't work for it. I think the shape of the head/hair could also use some work, and if I were to revisit it I'd like to try and make the "penis" look more explicitly like a clit or psuedo-penis.
