Upgrades WIP

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am almost done with the upgrades! As you can see I got all the ornaments for all the different heights (small tower, high tower and bastion/gate) plus the regular roof tops (3x3" and 5x3") and the 3x3" alternate roof top.

Only part missing is the 5x3" alternate roof top and then to produce all the cut files and maybe some short instructions.

DAFB2 updates WIP

Ladies and Gentlemen,

this week I have been busy with adding more and more parts to the updates for the DAFB2 set!

I have made both sizes for the roof tops that can go on the towers/bastions and gates. But you can also use them stand alone as a shed or storage building! For my build I am going for the thatched style but all the "usual" ones are included like the viking shingles and grass top.

now that summer finally seems to be over (here) and temperature is cooling down to a more moderate (and enjoyable) level I also have been cooling down after the latest release. I have been busy with working on promoting of the new DAFB#2 set but I also started working on the "upgrades" for the set.

Norse Village / Fortress photoshoot (part I)

Ladies and gentlemen,

while I am working on the getting the final touches done for the DAFB#2 set I wanted to share with you the first of my pics taken on the 6x4" gaming table. 

This size table allowed me to go big with my buildings, setting up a village plus fortifications. With my old LotR minis I decided to have the goblins attack the village (they even brought the troll!) while the Rohan forces scramble to setup defense positions.

Free Basic Bit: Banners

For August I am giving you simple banner "minis" in two versions. One can be used stand alone and the other can be mounted to walls of any kind. The free version comes with a white and red checker pattern for the cloth part. They will go great with last months palisades or with any settlement/city/fortress that wants to show the inhabitants colors!

Dark Age Fortress WIP

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It's time to start having some fun! I have completed the bastion module now too, giving me all the modules I wanted for my large fortress layout. So this weekend I setup my huge 6x4" gaming table, slapped on the large battlemat and started to place it all into position.

Palisade Bits WIP

today I can start to show you my progress with the upcoming palisade bits. The main idea was to have simple 2D papermini like parts that you can assemble to form palisades around your settlement, camp, outpost or fortress!

Dark Age Fortress Builder WIP

we are having a fun heatwave here in SchnitzelCountry. The mornings are bearable but trying to get anything done after 3 in the afternoon is a challenge. Only works on the days it cools off. Of course then we get thunderstorms (some regions even get tornados) and hail the size of tennis balls!

Dark Age Water Well Prototype

Here's a quick look at my prototype for the water well. When researching Viking ones the only thing I could find were old Russian ones.  But the Vikings also traveled there so maybe they have been influenced by them :)

I also want to make a classic stone one later. But for now I will continue with this type of architecture. (Next I plan to make the simple wooden palisade elements (wall and gate) for smaller settlement enclosures.)
